Hi Ladies

Please forgive me for not updating on my scan yesterday. I had such an emotional morning/day :( My dog which i have had for over 15 years got sick yesterday morning and upon taking him to the vet we found out his kidneys failed and we had to put him down  I cried my eyes out and I am still so heartbroken about it.

And all this happened before I can go for my scan. Another thing that I was worried about is the Downs testing as my DH sister has down syndrome. I prayed really hard that everything goes well. I was a wreck by the time I went in for my scan, but as all the tests were done I was told told that everything was perfect and baby is growing well. Unfortunately we couldn't see the gender as LO had its legs crossed the entire time. And one time LO turned its face towards the screen and we got to see the face, it looked a little weird though and it was only for a split second. LO hands were in the air all the time, it kinda looked like LO was just chilling. LO measures 6.3cm.

I really an so glad that there are no issues, it really is such a relief. I was told that around 20 weeks I can find out the gender so now I have to wait.

Also I had a really bad weekend with MS going on until early hours of the morning. I have since been feeling better and I hope it stays this way.

Sorry for the long post. I hope everyone is doing well.

Congrats SimmyBunz.
Bea, good luck for the scan today.
Nnita, I feel you. Thought that MS would be on her way out but boy oh boy was I wrong. Congrats on your anniversary.
Mrs Gov, update on your scan?
TanyaS, :silly:  sorry. I was so elated when LB was potty trained and now I will go through the whole process again :P

Hi to everyone else.
So I went to check out a nursery school this morning. I was relative impressed with what I saw but it was only the first one. Have a few more on my list that I need to go view. I'm already planning this baby's future and he/she is not even in this realm yet :P It was quite funny when the owner asked me, "so how old is you LO?" When I told her not quite born yet she was like wow, you are very proactive then
Oh MS is still looming. Had some tea, juice and an avo sandwich but it almost feels as if my food is not going all the way down into my tummy  Will ask the dr to check that out on Friday.

Nnita, happy anniversary for yesterday. Oh boy, sorry to hear you got sick again, but glad to hear that you still had a good time.

Tanya, that's hilarious - shame man, good luck with the potty training.

SimmyBunz - congratulations on the engagement!! Happy wedding and baby planning!

MrsGov, how did your scan go today? Did you see the gender?

Tanya, Thursday is almost here, what a long wait it has been for you.

Spirited Mama, shame man, hope the MS is something of the past real soon. Good luck for tomorrow's scan x

Lethuwam, I also suffer from headaches, I think it's the hormones. Mention it to your doctor so that he can check your blood pressure as well, which I'm sure he will do anyway.

Hallo Pokkeltjie, Debbie, AnaB, BellasMom and all the rest - how is everyone doing?

AFM: The Parkrun was great fun - I was a bit out of breath, but that was because I was talking so much with my friend and walking at the same time - haha, sure I will get fitter every week!
Now I'm just anxiously looking forward to tomorrow's scan at the specialist.

Have a good evening all xx

Good afternoon mommies

Congratulations Simmy what a great feeling to be engaged.

It was our 1st year anniversary yesterday and we took a shot left...couldn't go to my ideal accommodation because lil Karate Baby was performing once again the whole weekend.

Hubby booked a spa with a preggy package for me...trust me I threw up as we were changing but I enjoyed the spa.

Glad to hear that we still doing ok.

Wow Simmybunz! a huge congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a stomach, because this is my 2nd, with my first I only started showing round 16 weeks. That little bump you see above your pubic area is where the baby is sitting at the moment :)

I think your nausea is just a pregnancy thing from the smell lol, not ms. My 2 year old is busy potty training and i gag each time i have to go rinse her potty after a nr2

Morning Ladies,

@ Lethuwam - welcome and congrats! I also had headaches but they have now gone away...think it is just another one of our preggie symptoms that we have to go through and start fading out the closer you get to 12 weeks. Unfortunately not much you can do other than take panados, drink lots of fluids and just try and relax as much as you can ;)

@ MrsGov - what time is your scan? Hope all goes well today!

@ TanyaS - congrats on reaching 12 weeks YAY ;) Have to agree with you on the resting for us 2nd time preggy mommies...
it either doesn't exist or it seldom exists LOL

@ SimmyBunz - aaahhh Congrats hun! That is sooo special :)
If it is your first pregnancy you usually take much longer before showing. With my first I only started showing a small little bump after 3 months. Apparently the second time round you show much faster - this time round I started showing just after 7 weeks!... so don't worry about it - before you know it you will be showing off a nice big round tummy ;) ;)

It's so exciting that everyone will soon be finding out what the genders are!

To all the other moomies - how are you ladies doing? For those still suffering with MS - hope it goes away really soon for you

Have a wonderful day girls ;)

BellasMom - Welcome! I know the wait is the worst, but it will be here soon!

Pokkeltjie - Thanks for keeping us updated with the scan list!

Lethuwam - Sorry about your headaches. All I can suggest is Panado, unfortunately! Also try drinking lots of water. I wouldn't worry too much about the abnormal cells. Did they do a biopsy? If the only abnormal cells were HPV, don't stress. If they find precancerous cells it is also not a reason to stress too much. It just means that there is a chance that the cells could possibly turn into cancer in a few years, but they could also not, and they will monitor it from now on. My mom just went through this. She has the 2nd worst kind of precancerous cells (CIN2) and they COULD turn into cancer in 3-5 years. So it is not urgent.

Bea - I'm holding thumbs that both babies are looking great! Tomorrow can't come fast enough for either of us, I think,

MrsGov - Enjoy the scan today, let us know how it went and if you find out the gender!

TanyaS - Congratulations on finally reaching 12 weeks!

Spirited Mama - Sorry about your continued MS! I hope it fades soon. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight loss- I have lost 5kg and OB is not concerned as long as you keep eating healthy foods and taking your prenatal's. I think I'm starting to gain now but haven't weighed myself again. I'm so excited for you for your scan on Friday and hope you find out the gender! This is starting to get very exciting.

All the other ladies- I hope you are doing great and enjoying being pregnant!

AFM ,I am feeling good, having very few symptoms actually at the moment. I only have nausea if I get VERY hungry or smell something disgusting (like the dishwasher I packed and forgot to put on 3 days ago). Is that still classified as MS or is it just normal during pregnancy?
I feel like I'm the only one not showing and still fitting in my normal jeans (although I do wear my Mr P maternity jeans more often because they're comfy). I have a tiny bump just above my pubic hair, it just looks like my bladder bulging out a bit but is there even when my bladder is empty. The rest of my tummy is the same as normal - a little bit pudgy - but definitely not showing.
I am 13 weeks tomorrow and have my NT scan - I am SO hoping that we can find out the gender! There are several items at Woolworths and PnP clothing that are just begging me to buy them...

In other news, I got engaged on Saturday!!!! :woohoo:
My wonderful SO took me for a lovely surprise weekend away. It was so romantic and it's so strange that he is my fiance now... I'm so happy and feel like I have the most beautiful ring in the world. Now I feel like going into wedding planning mode and I can't because I'm in planning for baby mode ;) Not that I'm complaining about that!

Sorry for long post ladies!

5 June '16 - BFP!

It's a BOY!
