SimmyBunz, congratulations on team blue, yay! Cute photo! And what an awesome risk 1 in 17 500 - now you can just relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! Four times a week on the spinning bike is good though! My water aerobics class for tomorrow has been cancelled because of the public holiday, guess I'll have to take the doggies for a walk.

Mrs Gov I am so sorry about your dog, I can imagine how you felt and still had to go to the doctor.

I am so glad though that baby is fine, though hiding.

Bea wow I am so so happy for the good news, God will surely carry you through. I love the scans they are so relaxed.

NnitaN - Congratualtions on the anniversary, how exciting! The spa sounds lovely, I so badly want to go for a spa day sometime...

Spirited Mama - That really IS proactive, wow. You sound super organised. I hope you find a great nursery school!

MrsGov - I am SO sorry about your dog. You will be in my prayers. My dogs are really members of the family, as I'm sure yours are, and the grief of losing a pet is real. It will take some time, but the joy of the new baby will also help with the healing I am sure! Glad baby looks healthy, I was worried waiting for your update. There are also places that do private ultrasounds, the one in our area is about R750 and they will do gender determination anywhere from 12 weeks. So that could be an option!

Bea - Wow, I'm proud of you for the parkrun, I really need to up my game The only movement I do is just a bit of slow cycling on my exercise bike, between 45 and 60min 4 times a week, and sometimes I eat while I'm on there too! haha. Also, I am SOOOO happy that both twins look great! That is honestly the best news any of us (and you, of course) could hope for! I'm thrilled for you, and they are so cute! I think just take it as it comes and don't stress about TTTS. If it happens, you will cross that road when you get to it.

AFM, I just had my NT scan. It's a BOY! That is his penis in the photo below, not the umbilical cord.
Dr said baby was making his gender very obvious!
He was also perfect, super wiggly and all over the place, flipping and waving and kicking, and his face is so cute already. We even saw his ears, his little nose, his eyeballs (she said she could see his lenses), his perfect hands and feet and all the bones in legs and arms. His heart and brain looked perfect too.
My DS risk is 1 in 17 500, so I am more than happy with that

It's been such a great week, ladies! Except for your poor doggy, MrsGov, but on the baby front.
I hope it continues to be, for all of us.

MrsGov, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog - my two dogs are also like my children and they are 10 yrs now - I wish dogs could live longer than 15 years. Super happy to hear about your scan though and that there is no Down's risk.

Hallo BellasMom and everyone else.

AFM: We've received such wonderful news this morning - both twins are doing great. All the poor signs twin B showed the last time are gone! His heartbeat and everything is normal! They are both measuring the same size and there are no signs of growth restriction. We are so grateful. Off course there is still a risk of them developing twin to twin transfusion syndrome and our next goal is to reach 24/26 weeks - should they develop TTTS after that, we'll do a caesar. But one step at a time and today they are perfect! Miracles do happen! Thank you Lord!

You are so right! Baby did look like an alien! My doctor doesn't tell the gender unfortunately. So we have to wait for the 20 week scan.

MrsGov Im so sorry about the loss of your dog! I have two of my own and I can just imagine how you feel - 15 years is a lifetime! I hope you feel better soon. PS, with my first baby we also saw her face at 13 weeks - looked like an alien! Are you not perhaps going for a 16 weeks scan? If you are, Im sure the doctor will be able to see the gender then...
