Hi ladies!

Hope everyone is doing great?

I am new to the group - let me introduce myself

I am 6w and 1d pregnant - we are having our dr's appointment later today! I am so excited! This is my second pregnancy. My daughter is turning 1 on Sunday

We planned to have then close together - but I thought it will take us 3 - 6 months to get pregnant. Well, we are so blessed. One month of trying and here we are...lol. With my daughter I fell pregnant in month 2 of trying.

I am still breastfeeding my daughter twice a day, which is starting to be a bit painful at the moment, but I will try and push through until my milk goes away. Apparently this is at about 4 - 6 months?

I had some nausea last week, but not really this week. Which is a bit concerning to me because with my daughter it was really bad - I lost 3 kg during the first trimester. I was also put on bed rest from 9 - 11 weeks because she struggled a bit. I had to lay flat for those weeks. So that is why I have my appointment so early - so doc can check that everything is ok.

We didn't tell anyone yet - maybe on Sunday when everybody is there for the party, but I first wanted to do the scan. Last time we told everybody at 4.5 weeks...lol

Annabelle at least you've fast forwarded a few weeks Im feeling better. But Im having really bad food aversions, it really seems like all I can stomach are things like slaptjips and pizza and macaroni! Eating terribly!!

oh yes, my initial 4 - 5 week estimate was way off, dont know how i calculated it that day lol but realised after and calulated from first day of last period 2 july.

I was SO sick yesterday - seems like a bit of food poisoning! My sister and I went to the movies on Sunday and both had popcorn, and we both got sick that evening! Felt like dying yesterday. Feel a bit better now, hopefully all is still well. Scan is on Friday!

@Bellasmom: i asked the receptionist, what to do first and she said I need to come in and see the Dr and I asked her if i should not wait until 8 weeks and she said no, you can come in and that was it lol. i think i just got lucky!! he he

AFM: 6weeks 3days today, started feeling very nauseas this morning! agh the worst.
Accelerated heart rate is not so bad, I've read up that when it returns to being normal that the baby's heart is now beating, hopefully this will be confirmed on Thursday.
This is also my second pregnancy, my daughter is 8 years old and will be turning 9 in October. This all feels so new to me but i think its because of the big gap!
We have not told her yet but are planning to after our visit on Thursday. She is going to be so over the moon, she's been asking for a baby brother or sister!

Hi Nicci

Thanks for the reassurance. We are going on holiday the weekend before my scan and I feel know that things "look good" would allow me to just enjoy the break a bit more, until we come back in time for my scan.
