Hi Ladies. Everyone has gone quiet. Hope it is all well with the pregnancies.

I am officially done working for the next 5 months. :)

Babies was measuring 1.4kg each at 29 weeks en doc said she might need to take them put at 32 weeks when they are both 2kg. Going back on monday to see how they have grown. I am almost 31 weeks now.

So fingers crossed that i will be able to keep them in for another 4 weeks at least.

Good luck to you all.

AFM, I have a lovely preggy belly and it is growing by the week. I must say that I have a good appetite and loving the eating :). Got my anomaly scan on Friday morning and excited but a bit nervous too to find out if my placenta has moved up... hold thumbs.

Hey Jay-Bee. I really hope so too. I just feel guilty for leaving work early. I still need to discuss the sick leave and maternity leave woth my boss and not so sure about the reduced working hours.
I dont have any cravings. I just love any kind of fruit. Im not eating that healthy which is also a problem. I love sweet things. Trying to stay away.

So nice to hear you love your preggy belly. ;) Good luck with the scan tomorrow. I have my work babyshower tomorrow and my actual babyshower on saturday! Going to be busy!!! :)

Good morning ladies, I hope you are all doing well and healthy! :-)

I was at the doctor on Monday and she advised me to stop working. I am 28 weeks now. We haven't found a temp yet for my position and I asked the doc if I can have at least 2 weeks to sort that out. Doc agreed very reluctantly and said that it has to be light duty and reduced working hours. So I will officially be on "semi-bed rest" from 21st May until June. And I'm hoping that I can start my Maternity end of June (even if the twins are born in June) I will discuss this with my boss.

So there is a lot happening at the moment and feeling a little bit stressed about it all. Seems like too much to do in a short time, but I will take it as it comes.

I will be downloading the moomie app on my phone so I can still check on you ladies. :-)

Hi Ladies, I am doing okay. I am feeling a lot calmer these days with the meds, but also a lot more tired. I find myself falling asleep often at my desk. On Tuesday I went to sleep in my car during my lunch break. So so tired!

@Salemein, I also have a hot and cold humidifier and it does work wonders! I will surely be using mine for the girls. Urgh the UIF issues! I am dreading that! I have always gone through an agency and I am using one again this time. It just saves me a lot of stress. I just don't see how I will be able to stand in a queue with two newborns trying to get through to people to pay my UIF.
So sorry to hear about your angel baby - I think I would feel the same as you if I was in your situation. I would also want baby out before 38 weeks. Good luck and don't worry about Eliana not moving much. Normally towards the end they do tend to move less. Have you started logging the times when she is quiet? I have noticed a pattern with my twins. And they are so busy these days!!! Especially at night!

@Sparky - HUge congrats on your Boy! I hope you feel better soon. It's really horrible to be sick while pregnant. My doc told me its okay to take a Cal-C-Vita every morning, but if you can get it through fruit and veggies - even better.

@CarienM - Your babymoon sounds heavenly! You must really enjoy it! And go with the two piece! You have an amazing pregnant body to show off! :-)

So AFM, we are still very worried about everything and hubby is not finding another job. He does have an interview on Friday so we'll see. He is very depressed and sad but I keep praying for him and for my family.
We have actually started doing our research on emigrating to New Zealand. We have so many friends there and we are seriously considering it. But I think it will take some time to get everything sorted and I'm not sure if I can handle the BIG MOVE now at this stage or this year for that matter.

My mom and I will try and finish the nursery this weekend. It looks amazing so far! My next appointment at the gynea is 8th May @ 29 weeks. I have to say that I am having so much pain! Especially in my private parts. It's painful to walk and sit and it's such a nightmare to find a comfortable position at night. I feel sorry for my hubby.
But all okay for now. Actually hoping that doc will give me a few days bed rest just to sleep!

Oh yes! A colleague of mine had her baby in the beginning of April. She has two boys already! Docs kept telling her it was a girl, well guess what! Out popped a BOY! I felt so sorry for her, but she seemed to be fine. Wouldn't mind if that happened to me though. ;)

Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
