@ Chanti, my best friend also only found out the gender when baby was born. You guys are strong as I could never wait that long, so impatient. Its so exciting for you though. So your scan is tomorrow?

@ Carien, glad your scan went well. I am seeing the sonographer at 12w4d on the 5th and then also again at 20w. Had my Downs blood test the other day and it looked all good with a low risk but just waiting for doc to confirm the results.

@ Reece, how did your scan go.

AFM, getting so impatient as it feels like my scan is years away.

@Carien - Thanks for the pic and so glad baby is doing okay!!! AH mine is on friday and I can't wait to see baby again

HI Ladies, so had my scan and everything went well. Baby is still a girl and is doing well. She is growing like she should, did not sit still for long to be measured, and sucks her thumb

The scan shows this black spot over her head which we freaked out for a bit but the doc said that is just the ultrasound penetrating through the skull and not to worry about that (you will see it in the attached pic). She said although there are bones there, they are still soft so the ultrasound will penetrate them. But that also meant we could see her brain and it looks good, she has the two lobes to the brain and it is also developing nicely, so all around doc is happy. Our next scan will be with a specialised sonographer for the 20-week anatomy scan. We can go to the fetal assessment place for it as well but my doc has been using this lady who does the same thing, so we will go see her.

@ Reese - My due date is 3 August. How are you and hubby doing? Is the gender scan today?? Fingers crossed all goes well for you! Ah so devine that you felt the babies! I can't wait to feel mine! Sorry tp hear about your car, sometimes the small things feel like mountains when there are a few things happening at once.

@Carien - So sorry you had all of the insensitivity to deal with at your son's birthday!! The bedroom is a very private space, the one space you feel is totally protected and yours, not nice to be invaded. Oh my word I can't believe that lady said that!! I would never ask a woman how far along she is if i didnt know for sure she was pregnant and I certainly wouldn't guess the months! Let us know how the scan goes!

@Jay - How are you doing? I wouldn't stress about the difference in days, baby can even measure up to 7 days safely, they grow in spurts.

AFM, not much news, my 17 week scan is on Friday and we wont be finding out gender (if we stay strong), with being our first and after all of the IVF and whatnot we are wanting to keep one little thing a precious surprise that nobody knows! Because we would probably spill the beans if we knew! Lately I wake up during the night and my tummy feels so weird like my uterus is trying to push through and then in the morning its gone again, so weird! Hoping to announce after Friday's scan as have kept it on the down low

Morning ladies! So my doc called yesterday and asked if we can move my apt from tomorrow to today b/c she has a busy schedule tomorrow so we will be seeing our little bean today

I am 16w2d today, and I have to say that my nausea has subsided slightly, but this morning apparently I was not supposed to brush my teeth, b/c I almost instantly vomited! And then of course there was nothing in my stomach except some water and bile...fun stuff.

I do have my extra strong meds from doc so am feeling better.

@ Carien, how rude! Well look on the bright side, at least you are actually pregnant and not someone saying you just look pregnant . THank you for that and I will try not to stress about baby been a few days behind. Good luck with the check up and post a pic if you can.

@ Reece, what a way to end the week and bumping your car..such bad luck. Thanks and feel much better that your little ones where also behind and now spot on. I believe everything will go smoothly tomorrow at the scan and what is meant to be will be

@Jay-Bee, I am only feeling clear movements on the right side which I think is Twin B. I do however get the bubble fluttering and tightening feelings on the left bottom side where Twin A is laying but my placenta is in the front to blocking baby's movements a bit. Don't worry too much about the days difference of the scans, the twins were measuring a week behind (a full 7 days) in the beginning and now they are on schedule with only a day or two difference between the two! The measurements will differ every now and again. Sometimes the baby is in a different position and a bit of the crown to rump can be missed so it's only a guestimate.

@Carien, I am 18 weeks. I am super excited for tomorrow! Hubby and I discussed the scan a bit yesterday and we are trusting God 100%.
Phew! People can be so insensitive sometimes. You should have asked her how far along she is?

So I will update you ladies on Thursday...
