Morning ladies, hope everyone is well.

@Reese - that is so exciting to feel the babies, I am also hoping to start feeling something soon. How many weeks are you now? I'm sure you are excited to see the doc tomorrow to see your little beans jumping around. I wanted to tell you, I always say this to all my friends who have girls: "this world needs more smart girls", b/c if girls ran this world everything would be better. I know you are not getting the boy you were hoping for but just think you have 4 chances of having your girls take over the world and make it a better place! Honestly think girls will make this world a better place! Not that I am saying boys cant do it, I have two of my own that I also hope will solve world hunger and negotiate world peace :)

@Jay-bee - for my first ultrasound with this baby, I measured 2 days behind schedule, this was a first for me b/c with my first two from the first scan to the last I always measured ahead of schedule by sometimes 7+ days. This one's heart rate was also slightly slower than my first two, but still completely within normal range. I also asked my doc if this is something to be concerned about and she said no, it is perfectly fine and that it was still very early, so I would not worry about it too much. With my next scan I measured exactly on date.

AFM - I still think I just look fat but when I lay on my back there is a definite bump that is not fat. My husband thinks I look pregnant, hoping to look more pregnant and less fat soon. I am still doing my boxing class and a new lady said to me yesterday "so you're about 7 months right" I was too out of breath to be very offended at the time, but I still thought to myself (and this is horrible I know) someone of your stature is really not in the position to be telling me I look 7 months pregnant. I know I should not think that and that every woman has her own story, just thought you know if you don't know, you really should not say anything. I just told her I wish and that this is my 3rd baby so I am bigger sooner and moved faster to get away from her. I might be pregnant but I am still trying to stay active and yes I cant do what everyone else is doing but I keep up as much as I can. My boxing class is the top floor of 3, so we always do stairs, and I am able to pretty much all that everyone else can do, and this new lady did not. Honestly think if you do not know, then rather keep quiet, for all she knew I was not even pregnant! Anyway, sorry for the rant, I have never had a good body image and having ppl say stupid things to me about my body really does not help and gets me worked up.

Other than that, not much to report. I also see the doc on Thursday for a check-up. Hoping everything will be fine with our little beans. We have a hectic couple of days after that, so not much rest over the weekend, and then I have a hectic work week next week as well. Will check in where I can, if I dont, really hope everyone has a great week and weekend :) TTFN

@ Reece, oh wow twins from both sides, so having twins was inevitable. What a lovely feeling to feel them move! Do you feel movement on both sides of your tummy depending on which baby moves? Holding thumbs that everything goes smoothly on Wednesday and you must also be excited to see the babies again. My scan is in two weeks time on the 5th May (Monday).

When I went for my dating scan the doc had some trouble trying to measure baby as it was not positioned well and she had to jiggle him/her to move a bit. On the day of the scan I was 8w2d but she measured baby 3/4 days behind and said that baby looked healthy and I shouldn't worry as a week before or a week after your actual date is fine.
Now I am stressing that baby is not growing properly and 3/4 days behind seems like a lot. Have any of you had this and is it normal?

Hi all

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was busy but okay. I bumped my car on Saturday - really really sad about that. We actually decided to trade it in, but not so sure now what they will after. But I feel that God is in control and everything happens as it should. :-)

I am so excited! I started feeling the babies move! I thought I imagined it last night and really not sure if I was just dreaming or what, but this morning, in my boss's office, Twin B ( I think) made it clear that they are here! And during the day I have felt small but definite movements here and there. I think it is Twin B. I think I felt Twin A last night but not sure if it was a dream or if I was just imagining because it was one little movement.

Wednesday is Scan day for us! :-)

Who of you are next?

Hey Jay-Bee, my appointment is on Wednesday next week. I'm praying consistently that all will be well and it will work out. I know God is faithful and I trust in Him.

I hope your 2.5 weeks go super fast! :-)
Both my hubby and myself has twins in the family. I have a lot of fraternal twins (all boys) and hubby has 2 sets of identical Girl twins in his family. The twins comes from the women's side of the family so I guess that's why they are fraternal and the genders from hubby's side so therefore suspecting girls! But we never know what will happen. :-)

The girls and I will be staying over at my moms for the weekend so I am hoping that I will get some more rest. My feet, ankles and wrists started swelling up since yesterday and it sometimes is a bit sensitive so tonight it will be me, a bucket of water and some Epsom salt to try and prevent any further swelling.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. :-)

@ Carien, my best friend's hubby went for the snip in December and then the re-test in Jan, she only has one kid and said no more and also doesn't want any surprises.

@ Reece, my emotions are also all over the place, sometimes weepy and sometimes just have snide remarks with hubby. If I am having a boy then it will be a big shock but if it's a girl then she really fought to be ours, 2.5 weeks to go till we find out. When is your scan? Don't work yourself up too much as what will be will be...but it's difficult I am sure. I was wondering do you have twins in your family?
Maybe when hubby is away you can have some me time and put your feet up a bit and unwind too.

@Carien, so sorry to hear about the issues with your in-laws. I would be so upset as well My bedroom is my private space. I have a very difficult FIL and SIL, my MIL just wants to keep everyone happy all the time and can get a bit much sometimes but she has such a soft and wonderful heart.
I don't even want to go into my FIL and SIL because I will end up writing a book! So not worth wasting my time even to mention.
Just take it easy and stand your ground.
Happy Birthday to your son! I'm sure you are making him feel extra special today even though he doesn't quite understand.

I am also having my tubes tied after these 2. Hubby is too scared to go for the snip and I just don't trust birth control anymore! I don't want any surprises! I was on the Mirena a year ago and in my personal experience it was HORRIBLE! All my friends who has it is so happy with it and they had no complications. My body rejected it. I don't want to scare you with my story because it is different for everyone, but I was bleeding non-stop for 10 months straight. I lost so much blood that it affected my health. I had infections 24/7 and couldn't be intimate with hubby - it was so painful. After 10 months I told the doc she better take it out or I am going to go insane and she luckily did it.
But like I say, this was my experience and I haven't heard of any other person struggling with it the way I had. Most women are very happy with it. Maybe research the other options as well so you can make a well-informed decision.

@Jay-Bee, so happy to hear you are feeling so good. :-) I have no cravings or news... just struggling with my emotions and mood swings. I'm sure you will hear boy at your scan in March! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

My husband is so stressed out about his work and buying a bigger car and we just don't seem to agree on anything. He is so on edge and his words hurt where I normally just ignore him. I know it's my emotions and I'm a little sensitive these days but I just don't know how he is going to cope with next weeks gender scan. :-(

I've just been praying a lot more these days. I don't know what else to do. Feeling so sad.
He is going away for the weekend with some friends - think he needs the break! Hopefully it will help him blow off some steam.
