Carien, don't be so hard on yourself. You are not the only one. I am also struggling with this. So I might not be able to give advice, but I do know how you feel.
My husband is the same as yours. He is very touchy and his love language is physical touch and it's not mine, so its very difficult for me as well. Lately I have not been in the mood and sometimes dread going to bed. My husband is very patient and does understand that I feel very uncomfortable, not just because of my pregnant belly, but even being intimate is sometimes uncomfortable to me.
I do get my days where I enjoy it, but most of the time I also just try and get it over with (gosh, that does sound horrible! :-( )It actually hurts when I orgasm (I'm sorry for TMI)
I have to say, with my previous pregnancy it was quite the opposite later on in my pregnancy (later in second trimester) and I had an increase in libido. Hopefully it will happen again this time.

Just take it one day at a time and give yourself a break! You have a baby growing inside you. Your baby is taking all your energy. Your husband still loves you and still thinks you're sexy and that's all that matters. :-)

It will get better.

HI Ladies, hope everyone is doing well.

So I have a personal question, please skip by if you are not comfortable with it.

How are you ladies doing in the intimacy department? My husband is the most amazing man, no matter how badly I see myself, he is my biggest supporter and says that I dont see myself like I really look. Right now, being intimate with my husband is literally the last thing on my mind, besides the fact that I feel sick all the time, I am tired all the time, my boobs are sore as hell and I really think I am in that in-between stage where I just look fat, I dont look pregnant, just fat which makes me even less interested in it. My husband is also a very cuddly touchy-feely type person, and I just feel so much more self-conscious when he does want to touch me. He keeps on saying that he just sees me as beautiful, even though I dont see myself like that. I know he has 'needs' and just b/c I am pregnant doesnt mean that the intimacy in our marriage is put to sleep, its just really hard for me to put myself in that frame of mind. This is going to sound really horrible, but most times I just go with it to get it over with (i know how bad that sounds). I know there are women who get super sexual when they are pregnant, I can honestly say I am not one of those people, not (so far) in this pregnancy and not in my previous two either.

Just looking for some advice if you guys are managing better, or what to do to help...

@Reese - it really is hard to find a nanny that you can trust. I went through two bad ones before I found our nanny (who has been with us since my oldest was 5 months old). She is really worth her weight in gold to me. Trust her with my childrens lives any day of the week. Lots of ppl say go with an agency, just know that those ladies are generally more expensive. I found my nanny on gumtree, she had references listed (and I checked every single one of them) and I was just comfortable with her from the moment I met her. I would say keep an eye on that Mamahood Gauteng group on FB (if you are on FB), there are often mommies who advertise for a lady that has been working for them and they no longer need her b/c they are moving or kids are going to school or something like that. There is a SA multiple birth FB group as well, I know my cousin who had twins found her nanny listed there, also a family who immigrated. If someone comes recommended like that I always think its a good sign.

@Jay-Bee, so happy to hear baby is healthy and heartbeat is strong! I am with you on the starch and carbs! With my other girls I loved spicy food and McDonalds, but with these two I am eating bland food like bread with cheese, noodles with ketchup and Worchester sauce. This pregnancy has been very different to my other ones, so I don't believe it when people say that the food aversions and cravings are linked to gender.

@Carien - I know what you mean by shopping with 2 little ones! It's crazy! And I always end up doing it alone while hubby is bike riding or something. I will refuse to do it when these two arrive. There is NO WAY! LOL
We will also be looking at a nanny, but how and where do you find a reliable, trustworthy one? I am stressing over it.

The tummy bug things is definitely doing the rounds. I know of 2 people that has it! really just hope it stays away from us. Good luck with your little one. I hope he gets better soon.

Your FB announcement is super cute! What did everyone say? I'm sure they were so excited!

I was also looking at my second potty shot and I also thought....just maybe... (denial!) but I quickly told myself that there is no way the potty and the nub shot can be so clear. And everywhere I posted, they said without a doubt girlies.
My mom has the worst ideas on names!!! :-( I love her to bits, but oh my word!

I'm actually not that sure on the names anymore! I keep changing my mind. Hubby mentioned the name "Rebekka" which I kinda like and I like the name Rochelle (which he doesn't like) but we'll see.

The only healthy things I am eating at the moment is fruit. I still love my fruit.

AFM - I received a lot of boy clothes from friends a while back before I knew it will be girls, and I started sorting it out over the weekend and I have to say, I wasn't even sad. It didn't make me sad or made me think of things that will never be. My only thought was to I give it to a friend who has a little boy or do I donate it to charity? And while we were at a kiddies party, both my husband and myself was looking at a cute little 6 month old girl instead of the boys that were there.
It just shows how amazing our Heavenly Father is. He heals when we hurt.

Morning ladies, hope everyone had a good weekend. We went grocery shopping on Saturday AM and to a nursery in the afternoon to get some plants for our garden. Going grocery shopping with two kids is rather challenging I have to say. We bring an ipad so that my youngest can watch a show, but he eventually gets sick of it and wants to run around, leaving one of us with 2 trollies to lug around the store. Anyway, told my husband dont think we will do this with 3. Our nanny doesn't currently work over weekends, think we are going to have to reconsider that when this one arrives.

I had my youngest at the doc on Friday afternoon, he seems to have a tummy bug, doc said its making the rounds and that it can get quite bad - so much so that ppl end up in hospital (said one of the doc's in their practice was in hospital the week before for the same thing). He was better on both Sat/Sun, but then last night vomited quite a bit, he seems to be better this morning, so keeping an eye on him to make sure he is getting better.

Anyway. My husband has been so excited and has been wanting to put a FB post up for the longest time, so we did it this weekend, will attach how we did it. Have you guys started telling anybody? I was a bit scared to tell ppl that its a girl, but my husband insisted and said its not like she is going to grow something that the specialist did not see there before. Happens so infrequently these days that they are wrong.

@Reese - have to agree, those potty shots are pretty clear, i guess the 2nd one could possibly still go in a boy direction, but I am a realist and agree with the sonographer that your little ones look like girls. Congrats! Your husband is going to be surrounded by georgious women!! Trust me, he will love it, might take a bit of time, but he will love it! I know you said you have already picked out their names, care to share? We think we have a first name that we like, but still working on the middle name. My boys middle names are after their grandfathers, so my mother said that she wants to name this baby, I told her she must just forget about that idea b/c that is just so not going to happen! Anybody else think of names yet?

@Jay-bee - you sound just like all of us! Carbs and starch is all we wanted (I still mostly want that). I am still hoping to start being able to use my eating plan from the dietician. One thing that is a bit annoying is that I said to her I really dont want to feel like i'm on a diet my whole pregnancy, and the plan that she gave me is definately like a diet, i guess saying that to a dietician is not really something that she will do much with, its her job to give only healthy food plans. Will eventually get onto the plan. 2nd trimester here we come!

@ Chanti, whoo hoo so glad that the scan went well.

@ Reece, I can never read this nub shots and can't tell the difference :). When is your next scan? Everyone seems to think that we are having another girl and secretly I think that I would like a boy. 60% thinks that we are having a girl and 40% boy, hopefully we will find out at our 12w scan on the 5 March.

@ Carien, I love the forest nursery idea. I had the big floppy ears for my little girl but she is 2 in May and in a toddler bed so I have changed the room to butterflies. I like the white/gray with touches of pink but with the new one I am leading towards white and mint green and also like the owls. My mom showed me this programme called "How much I love you" which is so cute and also forest floppy eared bunnies

ASM, My scan went well and baby has a strong heartbeat and we are 8w2d and my due date is the 13 Sept but will be confirmed at my 12w scan.
I am feeling "car sick" a lot now and really need to start walking as slowly gaining weight as pasta, bread and potatoes is the only food I feel like eating.
