Hey there Mommies

I am happy to say my baby has hit the 6 kilo mark. haha Skinny boy. Don't know where he gets that from. :P

I am still breastfeeding and giving one bottle a day. Luckily he will take the bottle now. I would like to breastfeed until a year. Vash when are you looking at stopping bfeeding?

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.

I cant believe tomorrow is 4 months.

Hi Ladies,

How's everybody. I'm no longer breastfeeding. Dewald's on formula now. Since I returned to work, I didn't have much time for expressing, therefore my milk basically dried up. We started him on rice cereal last week and I gave him some purity on Monday. He loves eating, and gets very upset when he is busy eating and we don't feed him. He weighed 6.8 last week. He wakes up in the middle of the night wanting to have a chat with me, as he is no longer with me during the day. So suddenly after having such a good baby, I'm not getting a full night's rest anymore.

Hey Vash.

I give her purity rice cereal, but my moms tells me the nestum one is better, I think I will get that when she turns 5 months. She was slow at first but eats like a pro now. I also give her purity 1st foods.
Let Liam sleep on his tummy, I bet you he will sleep for longer , Tay was a colic baby and that tummy time really helped when she had to sleep. I think he might be windy/bloated thats why he wakes up constantly. try it and let me know

Hi ladies.
Jade, what rice cereal do you give Tay? I bought the purity one but would like to try the nestum. I add breastmilk to it.
Shazz, we are also having a hard time getting Liam to sleep. When i do eventually get him down for a nap he is up again within 10 mins.
Bronz, thanks. We get lots of sounds from Liam esp 'go' and DH is convinced he heard him say dad, lol. He also puts everything in his mouth and sticks his tongue out.
You ladies are lucky to have your babies sleeping for so long at night. Liam still gets up every 2 hours which means i get up 4-5 times a night. We only started cereal last week and so far he doesn't eat enough to get full so its more for tasting. Once he's eating it nicely then i will start with fresh fruit and veggies. Anyone still breastfeeding?

Emma slept through the night before yesterday! From 7pm - 6am. I could hardly believe. But then she woke at 4am last night... at least we got to sleep until 7.30 this morning.

I'm reading about BLW the first time today, and I must say, it sounds very appealing, I'll definitely give it a go. Only thing, they suggest it from 6 months only? When are you guys going to start and with what foods?

Emma is already weighing about 7kg, so the paed will probably suggest I start her on solids by 4 months, but I'll only consider it if it's really necessary, i.e. feeding closer than 3 hours apart and waking more often at night, etc.

Ah yes I remember you saying you were going to do it that way too. I am very keen on the blw, but would still like the convenience of being able to feed him if need be.

Do you mean weaning off boob? He is finally taking the bottle better (hope I don't shoot myself in the foot by saying that.). I am going to wean him at about a year onto a sippy cup, well thats the plan for now. What are you looking at doing?

Breastfeeding moms how long are you looking at bfeeding for?

I am very disappointed about the sleeping through. Graeme did it for 3 nights and then we went to Joeys for the weekend and he is bake to waking up at 3. (I must take some guilt here though. I put him in the bed with us after his first wake up and I think he is getting used to that. Must put him back in his cot)
