Hey Ladies

Welcome back Baby Shoes. I will add you to the list. What is you LG's name?

Graeme also gets himself so worked up at times. I don't know if I would call it a tantrum. It is as soon as he does not get boob soon enough.

jade101: Game has Bumbos as well. How is the colic?

Beatrice: I had a company's name that do nanny recruitments. I will find it and let you know. I can't believe a company did not do checks.

We went for shots yesterday, G took them well, he didn't even cry. He was happy and we even got our first laugh until a bit later then he was really miserable.

Why so many of the LO's waking up... Graeme went from sleeping through to waking up at 3 for the last few nights.

Hi everyone, glad to hear I'm not the only one still having problems with my scar/wound - thought there was something wrong with me. But I know I must take better care of myself - stop carrying heavy things, but it's tough. Sometimes feel like I'm still pregnant!

So I'm having trouble getting a nanny. I went through Educare, but I'm seriously loosing faith. The first nanny lied about smoking, but I cought her out. Sorry, but I don't want anyone who smokes near my baby, let alone her caregiver!!

This morning I just found out that the second nanny I trialed falsified her reference letter! She only worked for the lady on Saturdays cleaning the house, but in her letter she states she looked after the children and even drove them to school and back. All lies. The "author" was so shocked when I read the letter to her. I'm just so upset with the agency - why did I bother going through an agency and paying them if they can't even check before hand that the letter was a fraud!

Any ideas where else I can look for a nanny in the Durbanville area? Time is running out.

My scar went open after 3 weeks but has healed nicely again. I haven't noticed that any other problems with it, but then after it went open, I started taking better care of myself.

Dewald woke up twice last night. That's not normal for him as he normally only wakes up once. I did not want to give him additional formula, because he needs the breast-milk. So I'm pretty tired today.

Good luck for today Wilma, it must be so tough! I dread the day I'm going back to work, so I'll try to get the most out of the last few weeks at home. I was at a Mommies Breakfast on Saturday and it was amazing to see how many mommies were Stay At Home Moms - how do people afford it these days?! Well, good for them! I'm going to try and negotiate to work half day from home, just hope they will allow it because if not, I will have to look for a job closer to home - I stay in Durbanville and work in town - that's just way too far and the traffic! Spending 2.5 hours in traffic everyday will be such a waste of time.

Those of you who had C-sections - do you also sometimes still have problems with your scar? Ie I carried Emma's heavy bath tub last week and one of the stitch places started to bleed a little again. Nothing major, but it's just so annoying because it's been 3 months.

Hi Ladies,
I'm no longer exclusively breastfeeding. I'm breastfeeding at night and during the day, he gets NAN. I'm also back at work permanently again.

Check out Dewald's Christening pictures on the MY BABY thread.

It is also my first day back at work without him, and I miss him terribly. He is very good, no tantrum's yet. He sometimes fights with me when he is on the breast, obviously not getting enough. Then I give him some formula and he is happy again. He has a bit of a cold/flu, but I was told that Breast milk is a natural antibiotic, therefore yesterday and the weekend I exclusively breastfed so that he can get as much as possible. He is already better. He loves chatting, and strikes up a conversation with anyone. He still only wakes up once a night, either at 11 or around 1.
