Well, I got my wish - it's a wonderful sunny day and the laundry mountain is slowly becomming smaller!

@EP - that's so true! Even if I wanted to leave her with someone, I REALLY need my sleep! So probably wouldn't have done it a lot in any case.

Oh I just realized, maybe someone will think my comment to KKRose was nasty, please don't think so, I just wanted to make it clear I don't think any one is a "bad" mother if they go out regularly and leave their kids behind with a sitter!

oh KKrose, don't let it bothe ryou. We rarely go anywhere without our kids. After all, they are OUR responsibilty, not someone elses. That said, I must be honest, I would like to go out once in a while and have a sitter. I am sure if my mom was still alive, we would have gone out many times, many times. Unfortuantely my kids are "blessed" with a ouma that coul dnot care less.
My cousin's daughter will come babysit for us next week, so dh and I can go watch Micayla perform in the Revue.

I have never left Themba in the evening, meaning I have not gone out for dinner or any other night function in almost 7 months. DH chides me for this constantly.

Wow Zodwa, I am almost jealous of your social life heheheh! But by 21h00 I am so tired all I want to do is crawl up in bed with my book or do some scrapbooking!

Iv left him a couple of times with the nanny in the evenings. We attend a lot of functions & she normally comes right after I put him to bed. So she just has to watch him, give him bottle when he wakes at night, etc....
We normally back by 10-11pm. We let her sleep over.
The 1st time I left him with her I literally called every hour, we had two functions that night & inbetween functions I came home just to check if everything is ok. Its not easy trusting somebody else with ur baby
She's been ruru's nanny for 4.5 months now.

Jaqi just loves playing with her bath toys, it is really sweet... It is a little tugboat, fishing rod, whale, fish and a light house!
