I have not gained much weight during my pregnancy with Jaqi, due to severe morning sickness, right till the end. I picked up 4kg all together. I have lost 15kg after the birth, but I am still carying weight from previous pregnancies. I want to loose just 10kgs... Then I'll be happy!

Half a candle.... that is just too precious!!!

Hope you don't mind me asking - but do you BF? And do you still have to fast if you do? I think I've read that you don't if you're pregnant... ?

Good morning ladies :)

Hope you all well.

Really cant believe our babies are almost 6 months. Imaan will be 6 months on the 10th. My daughter who is 10yrs wants to have a little party she says with half a candle and half a cake and half cupcakes lol.

As to the SAD topic of losing weight. I have lost a bit but its really really tough. Well we starting to fast soon so maybe just maybe i will shed some kilos during the fasting period.

As for Gym there is just no time!!!!

Hi ladies

Happy 6 months to Jordan!! I feel it is such a big milestone. Themba's is on the 8th, I was telling DH that we should celebrate, maybe by going out for lunch with LO, and buying a small cake. :) DH thinks I'm nuts.

Yoza - I am so sorry for your loss.

EP - Hang in there.

I give my LO vegetables and fruits only, I think I also read somewhere that they should eat protein at 7/8 months.

Zodwa - Now that I have gained so much weight, my mom is so happy, she says I am not fat, I just look like a mom. She becomes unhappy when I tell her that I intend to lose all the weight I gained due to baby.
My dad on the other hand, teases me about it, he says I am too big.
It is a cultural thing, yes.

Well, I have 11kgs to lose, I am hoping to find the time to go to gym from next week.

:cheer: order is restored in my happy place... :silly:

I'm also a bit overweight and would love to shed a couple (okay, more that a couple...) of kg's. But I think I'll do it the slow and steady way. Healthy eating, less cookies and chocolates, more exercise... Not a big fan of exercise, but as soon as summer comes along, I'll take my LG for walks, etc. I want her to adopt healthy habits, so guess being a good example might just be the motivation I need.

@Yoza - sorry to hear about your loss.

@EP - I think I would've arranged an "accident" for that rooster by now... ;) Will be thinking of you.

I've also read that chicken should be introduced between 7 and 8months. I'm gonna stick to fruit and veg for the 1st month or so. Can't wait to start the BLW this weekend... probably gonna be messy...

I can't believe our LO's "half-birthdays" are here! Time sure did fly.

Happy 6 months to Jordan!

In a few days (Sunday) Jaqi will be 6 months old. I can not believe how time flies.

Girls, I know I have been doing a lot of sulking and a lot of fighting... I just wanted to ask to please wish me strength... Saturday will be the 10th anniversary of my mom's death and I am soooooo sad and crying and and and ... the kids are sick, I have nots elpt well for a week now.

One of neighbors got a rooster, now the thing starts crowing at 1;30 every morning untill the sun coems up. I'm gonna take dh's pellet and kill it, I swear.

Last night, I gave Jaqi some sweet potatoe and butternut. She liked it :-) I wanted to add some chicken, but then I read on teh internet chicken should only be introduced at 7 months? However I am CERTAIN that my other kids had chicken from 6 months? Is anybody's baby eating chicken yet?
