Juanita thanks some good ideas there. He feeds himself with his hands only not with a spoon - he plays with it if I give him one. So Leandi can actually feed herself? I must try the table and chair out - I suppose because he's developed relatively late I actually didn't think he may be ready for that. And colouring and drawing. That's amazing. Hell seems I have a rather slow developer...They say everybody should be on par by 18 months so have a little time =)

I've also decided to send him to creche as soon as possible as I'm beginning to think it is the better option rather then him being with a full time nanny. Starting to think it may be the reason why he's slower.

Charlotte do people actually leave negative comments? Also can't you see the hits that your blog gets? How's Hassie doing at he's new home by the way? You're sounding so down...hope you start feeling a little brighter soon...

Well I'm officially without work for the first time in 6 years. It's a really strange feeling not waking up with that angst of having to get going. Fortunately I am able to relax for a while and am putting off for as long as possible the necessity to go permanent which will be a hugely difficult adjustment for somebody used to working very flexible hours.

Does he feed himself??? what i do is i have a spoon and Leandi has a spoon, so she feeds herself but i still get to feed her also...
Or maybe you should dilute his milk, or just give him less so he can have a bit more of a appetite?? Thats what i did with Leandi, took away her afternoon bottle (lunch was our biggest problem) and then after 2 days her appetite was back to normal. she doesnt miss her milkie during the day, at all!!! Maybe when its cold during the day i will give her some milo as a treat or something, but for now, she is happy with her juice.

The feeding is also going a lot better now thats shes hungry again. She doesnt sit much in her feeding chair anymore, as she turns herself around in it (attached to the table) and my heart wants to stop coz i just dont think its safe anymore. Now she sits on her chair at her little table (used to be me and my brothers when we were little). Really enjoying it, takes her colouring book to it, and does her "drawings" there. takes her reading books to the table. Really very handy. And when she wants more space to play, she moves the whole table out of the way. too cute

Oh and I simply must brag a bit too of course. Jaqi now has 6 teeth And she was a bit feverish, but othe rthan that she was fine. She is cutting 2 more, so soon she'll have 8 teeth.
