Hi ladies,

How is everyone? I've been quiet due to the technical issues on the site and eventually jst gave up!

So.. how did the vaccnines go Feb 09 momma? I still havent taken taylor yet, as she has been sick almost everytime I have made an app. Last week she had a bad viral infection, and was not keeping any solids or milk down for at least 3 days...poor baby was suriving on water alone, and lost some weight as well...she will probably only weigh about 10kg's now ;-(

She is a lot better now though, and she goes for her shots on Tuesday.

So Taylor is still somewhat acting out since the arrival of the new baby. She has started waking up at night now and I was hoping by now that it would have gotten better, but its gotten worse. Not only does she get up, but she throws a full blown tantrum as well. For what reason, no one knows.... first we started giving her a bottle and this would clam her down, but once the bottle was finish she would start up again. So now I have decided no more bottle at night! And yes she cries even more at first, but eventually calms down. I am at my wits end.

2 nights ago, we decided to just ignore her and let her cry it out. I left the room saying I will come back once she is done crying. Well she screamed for a few more minutes, then calmed down a ,ittle and eventually stopped. When I walked back in the room the crying began again, so I walked out again, and this time she stopped immediately.

So I am hoping that that is all we need to do. Leave her to cry but let her know we will come back in once she stops. Last night she slept through so I couldnt test the theory..... but sleeping through now happens maybe only twice a week, if we lucky.

The other problem is that out house is small, so sometimes the baby wakes her up when he cries, and I am guessing that this is not a good way to wake up, shame.

Anyone else have any other advice? She is perfectly fine during the day and the daycare caregivers said they havent noticed any changes in her at all.

This too shall pass hey.......

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi. DS is growing nicely and is 7 weeks old already, weighing in at 5.2 kg's already lol half the size of my 18mo old!!

Hi ladies,

I'm taking my LG for her shots tomorrow, it is like a mountain ahead of me! :(

Had her at the doctor on Monday and he says it's nothing serious, he gave us eardrops and something for pain and fever!

Have a nice afternoon!

Hi Ladies

Long time no speak!
Hope you all doing well.

I took my LG to have her 18 mo injections last night.
One in each arm. She cried little bit for the first and a bit more for the second. but quickly calmed her down after giving her a sweetie ;)
I know it is not nice to hurt them and we always feel bad but it is normally over so quickly that they forget in no time at all.
My Lg weighs 11.2kgs woohoo :silly:
She is such a light weight.

We have not bought a potty yet but bf and i opened up a plasticware shop and she has been there creating havoc. She found the pottys though. The one potty is like a chair with potty part and she was sitting on this in the middle of the shop! HA HA

Will probably need to buy one soon!

You guys have been so quiet lately! wHat are you Lo's up to?

Dee, glad to hear that your LG is settling down now.

Feb - hope your LO does not have ear infection!

Hi Dee, nice to hear from you! Was thinking op taking LG this coming friday, but I suspect ear infection, so maybe not! Thought I'll take her to the GP, let him check her out and have look at her ears and then to the clinic! O my goodness, I'm so scared that she will think that I hurt her for no reason!

Has anyone had their 18mo vaccination yet? I am so dreading ours......she's older and knows whats happening now lol

Also, do they need to go for a 18mo check up?
