Congrats Dee!!! And good luck with all the challenges.

My LB has developed a temper of note the past few weeks. Don't know if the fact that his daddy has been away for almost 6 weeks contributed to it. He has deffinitely been more clingy and he cried more than usual since DH left. Luckily he will be back on Saturday :woohoo:.

It is amazing how any change has an effect on our little ones.

Thanks ;-)

For now LG's routine has not really been altered much. We still wake her up same time, hubby drops her at daycare and then we pick her up normal time, and I make sure we spend enough time with her when she gets home.

Luckily, as I said LB sleeps most of the time, and for the oast 3 nights hasnt really been crying that much so LG sleep is normal.

What I have noticed though is tha prior to all this change she would wake uo between 5 and 6am and cry a little and I would give her a bottle, and then she'd sleep till 7 again.

Now however, yes she is waking up the same time, but she is crying hysterically, and almost inconsolably.

The only difference is instead of me going into pacify her, Mom goes in now, and it takes her longer to settle.

She has also become miserable in the mornings. She isnt a morning person to begin with, but normally after like 10min or so, and cartoons are on, she settles down and is quite pleasant (before she leaves for daycare), this morning and y day morning tho, she was irritable and clingy and has become very needy.

Now on top of all this, she has just moved into another class at daycare (last week Wed), so I am not sure if this behaviour change is because of:

1.New baby
2. New class
3. Seperation anxiety (which i understand peaks now in toddlers)

It could also be a combo of all 3.....

Any advice/suggestions? Anyone else also exp some toddler mood changes now?

Dee, I am glad everything went as well as can be. I am sure your LG will settle soon enough. I have a friend that has got a 3 year old and has just had twins. It took her 3 year old some time to adjust but he is getting there. So I know it must be hard - just stay positive and think that things will get better.

We are definately here for you if you need to vent or talk. We need to know what it is like so that we are ready when our times come to have another.

FEb - good luck on your weight watchers. Hope you can stick to it at get the results you looking for.

RAkker - gee so your Little guy says quite a lot already. I guess my LG was fast at crawling and walking so can't expect her to be fast at everything
;)
So I put my LG in a her own big bed on sunday night. I never made a big deal out of it. Just bought a mattress for her bed and put her in it. (I Have not even bought proper bedding for her yet  ) Bad I know!
But she has slept through no hassles and for now has not realised how to get off the bed in the middle of the night. Last night BF just went to go and lie by her when she cried, but i think she was just cold or had a bad dream. I also just put one of her cot sides on the side of the bed so that she can't fall out and we have another mattress on the floor - just in case! ;)
So far so good - although I have not taken her to her bed to go to sleep yet. She is always sleeping when I put her in bed. So hopefully it all goes well.

OOOOH and the tantrums - man alive!!! She does not cry real tears all just fake and is now crying and checking to see if I am looking. If I am looking she gets on the floor and cries some more.....
I am trying to ignore the tantrum and trying to distract her.....not so easy!!

Anyways, hope your LO's are all doing well!!

Ag shame Dee, I can just imagine, my LG is so so jealous, we one babysitted friends of our LB and she didn't sleep throught the night for a total week after that! I don't know what it will be like when she will have a Little brother or sister - WE WILL NEVER SLEEP!

I'm glad you have so much support! Hope it gets better every day! Take each day at a time on it's own!

Thanks for that ;-)

Each day seems to be getting better and better..... but its tough, I am not going to lie. LB sleeps thru-out the day so thats fine, but seems to love to be awake and crying between 10 and 12 at night..... this then of course wakes up my LG and then we end with 2 crying kids at night ;-(

LG loves her new baby bro tho, and loves kissing him and playing with him, however she gets a little rough at times so we need to watch her carefully.

She also wants attention from me whenever I am feeding LB so she definately feels a little jealousy.

Right now tho my MIL and mom are both here and hubby is on leave so I have alot of support.

Dont worry I will come and vent when need be LOL

Thanks Dee, I need it! I was eating way too much and wrong, so this is kind of hard for me! But I will get there!

Dee - Are you coping with everything? Please feel free to come and vent if you need to, may be we won't be able to give advice, because we aren't there yet, but we can listen! Thinking of you!

Good luck with weight watchers! I started them also right after I gave birth last yr, and I lost ALOT of weight very fast also b cos I was breast feeding at the time.

Think I will do the same this time round ;-)
