I introduced it first in her porridge etc. Then I just gave her as it is in her bottle, warmed it up a little because it is winter, but didn't boil it! Just make sure you give pasturised milk! I preffered to give long life! Now thinking of giving her (like denmar or clover) the milk that we use, ussual one in a bottle at pick a pay etc.

I am not comfortable in mixing the milk or even dilute it, don't know why, but I gave it as it was! What I did is if she was drinking maybe 3 bottles of 200ml of formula every day, I substituted one bottle with cowsmilk for a week and then another! But she is still having formula at bed time, bacause she is not eating good in the evening and I feel it's more nutritious than cow's milk!

Rakker - thanks for the advice about the prestik. I tried it once, but it all disintegrated as soon as it got wet!! Maybe I must buy new prestik and not old one and then try! thanks

Ladies, for those of you who is giving LO's cows milk, how did you make the transition?
Did you boil the cows milk before giving it them? Did you mix it with half formula/half cows milk? Mix it with water? OR did you just pour the cows milk straight from the bottle to Lo's bottle and let them drink it like that? no heating or mixing or anything?
Sorry - I am jsut confused. Alot of people say that cows milk will make them constipated and they can't digest it easily therefore you need to introduce it slowly.....
Your advise please?

About the circumcision... My LB wasn't circumcised. My DH isn't and I never even considered it. I think there are not really that much pros and cons either way to make the decision clear cut. I won't do it as I don't really see the benefits, but that's just me.

Yes it's me! Now at least I know who you are! Nice to see familiar "faces" :) . Thanks for the "ek is seker hy sal dit ontgroei" part. I'm not too worried as there are much worse things that can happen to a child.

Hope to chat to you a lot still.

Rakker, how do you cope with the not getting any water in LO's ears because of the grommets?
I have tried ear plugs but they just don't work so we use cotton wool with vaseline and only wash hair once a week. It is too much of a performance.

I use prestic, as the ENT suggested. I take a little piece and press it to form a thinner part, which goes into the ear. And I press it quite hard to make sure it sticks. That is fine for washing hair. When he goes for his swimming lessons, I do that and take a big piece and make a kind of a "lid" that goes on top of that, ensuring that it goes into all the openings. The ear must be dry for it to work.
