question-circle Bullied at school - now insecure

Thanks Elamsmom, I was so shocked to hear this too from such a young child, really disturbing! My LB is such a soft sensitive little guy as well so this has really knocked him!

I just don't understand some parents... I would have gone to the parents of the children in Wimpy and asked them to 'sort' out their child. The play areas are for all children!

@02 Jojo: Oh my word! My eyes and mouth are wide open!!! A 6 year old!!!

And to say SUCH hectically violent things like killing your LB's mom & dad! Your poor LB!

On Saturday a little boy at Wimpy was being SO mean to Elam and wouldn't let her play on the slide. He literally kept pointing his finger and shouting at her saying this is OUR slide and running to his parents to say THAT baby mustn't play on OUR slide!!!??? WTF??? AND THE PARENTS JUST WATCHED AND SAID NOTHING. It was my 1st such experience and I had no idea what would be the most appropriate response. Speak to the parents or to the child? Since the parents were silently watching all of this and not saying a word, I told the little boy to leave my child alone & play on the slide if he wanted to but to just leave my baby alone! I still can't get over it so I can only IMAGINE what you are going through.

Have no wise advice but am also reading the thread so i can file away the advice you receive in my memory incase I need when my baby starts school.

I am shocked! That is so disturbing!

Must of been groot kak Julz!

Hoping this never happens to my kids. And so young too.

But something needs to be done where this kids apologizes to your son? He needs to hear from Bully Boy that he is sorry and cannot and will not come after your family. Your son needs this reassurance somehow as he is obviously needs that validation somehow so he can relax...?

My dad made a teacher apologize to me. The stupid cow kakked me out for something I did not do in front of the whole class. I almost died. Told my dad and he lost it - went to principal and my dad can talk the talk like nobody's business. Teacher had to come in and apologize to me. Made me feel better that is for sure.

I was ready for him after I first heard about it and was going in with all guns blazing with my momzilla costume on and DH (being the rational one) said we should rather report the matter to the teacher/phase manager and principal which we did.

This bully was actually expelled from aftercare last year (Grade R) just makes you wonder what goes on at his home!!!

I do feel sorry for the little guy, he obviously needs help! Hopefully if the parents actually give a shit he will get some now after the bulling has been reported.

Jems I remember being at daycare when I was younger and a mom did just that, but infront of the entire class. She actually assaulted the bully, well what we used to call giving a damned good hiding.

Not sure what happened between parents afterwards and I think it left the entrire class traumatised for sure.

BUT - There was no more bullying by ANYBODY after that.

Mom of Dylan and Partner to Joerg. We live in the Beautiful Pringle Bay which is along the Whale coast, Cape.

Jems I have honestly thought about doing something along those lines! Every time I get to school he has either not arrived yet or has left already, maybe a good thing I suppose!
