Morning everyone!
Carmen, tick tick, almost there! Cant wait to hear the good news tomorrow! You must be so excited! Enjoy every minute!
Marie, then its you! Enjoy the last stretch!
Meags, sorry to hear you are not having fun! I moved overseas 10 years ago, and I was so homesick too! Its not fun! You just have to put your mind right and try stay positive! The ladies meet in the park sounds nice, I hope you meet some nice ladies there! You are a beautiful personso you WILL make friends! hugs!!!
Kimika, good luck for your appointment later. I really think you are going to be holding your little baba soon!
Vix, awesome news that you are getting a new kitchen! Gas is a real winner! We had it in Tanzania, except I forgot the first time we didnt have power and made DH do a braai... LOL. We had daily power cuts there and some lasted days.... luckily we had a generator, but it was an old tractor engine and was more down than working! I wonder what winter is going to be like this year...
Vix, the imprints are really nice! Different to the ones I've seen! Something really special and beautiful!
Ster, hope that every day gets easier with Inge. I am also putting Nathan on his tummy now - something I never did with Missy as I was too scared. Yesterday and last night he slept on his tummy for 2 hour stretches! You'll just have to see what works for you with all the advice from friends and professionals. What does sometimes work, and is easier to do with the first LO, is to take a few days and do NOTHING else but get your LO and dyourself into a routine and see what works. You literally just spend every minute and every hour wit eachother and find your way. No cleaning, cooking just being together and finding yourselves. Its more difficult when you have more than one child.
Chris, hope the A team is doing well. THink of you everyday!
Vix, keep meaning to ask how the formula is going now? Are you ok now after last week's little op?
Maryke, great on getting your other bouncer. Your kitchen and cupboards sound like a dream coming true... I have always dreamt of a big kitchen where you can even have a family meal and the kids can do homework while I cook... pots hanging from the ceiling, day dreams...
AFM... well. We probably had one of our worst days yesterday which led to our BEST night last night... I think Nathan slept out of pure exhaustion (eventually). I am now giving telament with every feed, read that the BF mommies put a drop or 2 on their boobs. And I am giving the Bennets Colic mix at night. I am probably dosing him up, but lets see if it works. H slept from 8pm to 1am and had a good feed and was back asleep in 20 mins (wonderful) and slept until 5am had a quick feed and then slept till 8ish. But now he seems so windy (downstairs) and he is pulling his face and squirming. He goes red int he face, pulls legs up, grunts and groans. He is lying on my lap now and trying to sleep but the winds are worrying him! Every now and again I feel a squirt in his nappy. He hardly has a good burp, but now and again has a small one with a bit of milk posetting (sp?). I make sure he is up a bit on my lap, so lets hope there is no projectile vomitting today...
Nathan is really turning out to be quite a demanding baby, much more demanding than Missy!
We are still doing the Vidalyn, I guess with breastfeeding it is important to get the iron in. But next time I am gong to get plain vidalyn and give extra iron seperately. At least with formula its all included! When I spoke to our paed last time, he said he only believes in vidalyn for little babies.
Vix, I am still battling to find honey, I can only find ones that have nothing written about it, and dont want to try that. Or they say "not irradated". On a mission today to go find it... Am going out alone with the 2 kids today... Nathan in a sling and Missy in the pram/trolley... it will either work out or I'll come straight home...
Yvette, Lizelle, Binks, Chan, Mina and everyone else, hope you are all doing well and enjoying the babas!
happy thursday everyone!
