Hi girls, fitst day at home not going to work and not being sick feels so strange - think reality will kick in the moment she is in my arms. Not long to go now - got to rest :o) little sleep ahead!

Put the spare cot up next to our bed last night, and LO asking "he wants to sleep there :o), this morning again he said " i want to sleep next to sissie?" - she's not even here yet - and if she were he is much to big and heavy shame.

All of you girls little babas is so cute - Chris the trio's are gorgeous, cant wait for my little doll.

i Got a feeling this week is gonna go by very quick. Soon i'll be putting up fodies :o)

Hope everyone is doing great will do some personals a bit later!
Bit tired now, waching a movie but think my eyes ar'nt gonna make it.

Take care*

Maryke- I completely missed your post yesterday, I am so sorry for the tough news and tough times ahead, i can't even begin to imagine how hard it is. My thoughts are with you and your family.

glad to hear your boys are doing so well! I'm now getting quite worried about my boys weights because another twin mommy's boys are also a lot bigger than mine......... think I'll definitely speak to my paed. I just can't see that my boys will be ready for solids at 4 months.

Chris- your babies are adorable!

Ster- Inge is gorgeous, I'm so jealous of all the pretty pink clothes!

Chris- I'm pleased to hear you're feeling better, I really hope the help stays til friday, every little helps. Who's going to help you during the day once the day nurse is gone? The A-Team is picking up weight beautifully! Wow, they're putting my boys to shame because they were born the same weight as Jono but weigh as much as Alex now even though they are 3 weeks younger.

I stopped expressing 2 weeks ago when Elwyn went back to work, it's just impossible to find the time between feeds to express when you're home alone and I was only getting 200ml on average so I had to express every 3hrs. Regarding AF though I still got it at 6w with C even though I was breastfeeding at the time. I would've thought I'd have had AF by now after 2 weeks not BF. Oh well if it isn't here before my op on the 2nd then I'll ask Dr again.

I tried the Losec on C for his bad reflux and it didn't help that nor thre colic. I am supposed to take Jono back to the Paed because he weighed under 2.5kg still at 6w so I might just make it for this week instead and have a good long chat about the colic. Oh and their weight, compared to Maryke's twins and the A-Team my boys are picking up weight way too slowly yet they drink so much more, Jono drinks 110ml and Alex 130ml every 3hrs.

WRT the feeding timeds, you take the 3hrs from start to start so in NICU they used to feed at 8, 11, 2 & 5. It sucks really when you're feeding 2 babies (or 3) and it takes a whole hour or more to feed it means you're getting like 20min to pee and eat in between LOL oh well, I keep telling myself that soon this horrible hectic phase will be over........

Oh and another thing.....

I heard that WHO have now said they were wrong to say solids should only be given from 6m and now they say it's 4m (just a little bit of info for those who hadn't heard) But I think with the tweenies I will wait til atleast 5m because they were a month prem.

Ster- I agree with Yvette, be very careful of constipation issues on soy milk. I put C onto soy for his colic (which I might add didn't help much) and that was the worst thing for his constipation, it just created terrible terrible problems and today I sit with a chronically constipated toddler who I'm struggling to potty train because he's afraid to poo! If Inge gets constipated you can give her 5ml Lacson.

Morning Ladies

Chris - your 3 little ones are so gorgeous. I take my hat off for you and DH - one is hard work - I can only imagine having 3 but you will not be in the situation if you cannot handle it.

Maryke - I am so sorry to hear about your Dad - thinking of you

Yvette - I just hope and pray that the Isomil will not make Inge constipated. I just want to help (get rid of) her with the colic. I will first try brown sugar if I see that she is constipated and if that doesn't help I am sure there will be something. But lets hope that this will not be necessary.

So, Inge is 1 month old today - cannot believe it. We had a good night last night - she drank at 21:00, 02:00 and again at 05:30 and after every bottle she sleeps (even during the day) - someting that did not happend while she was on Lactogen.

To all the other ladies - hope you are all well!!!

Hi ladies

Vix, try Losec for the colic, my cousin also had problems and a friend of mine and that worked like a bomb.

Mina, are you eating beans or anything other? Our babies have also had some times when they just complain about cramps and what have you and we spoke to our paed, he said its normal especially when babies grow, but just monitor it as all babies are different. Our paed also told us not to use gripe water or telement drops for them, told us to use other stuff instead.

Yvette, I am so lucky with dh, and its also cos he doesn't have much of a choice to wake up for every feed as I could never do it on my own, if it were one baby it would be fine as I would solely be BF and with 3 its just difficult, shame, he doesn't complain but I feel so bad cos he works.

Maryke, hang in there, it is very hard, I remember with my mom, her oncologist told us to just be there for my mom as the cancer was then stage 4, she never told us just how bad it was but we knew, my sister and I still told my brother to prepare himself and he wouldn't have anything of it, one week later my mom passed away in hospital, that day while we were all there when she was suppose to start her chemo I told my sister she wasn't going to make it past then, and she didn't. So, in a way it is better that you do know because you dont want to live with what if's, I can honestly say that I did all I could and that my moms last days we were there and we hugged her and kissed her and told her that we love her and that made a difference to her and us. Especially now that things are better with teh family, more of a reason for you to be there or even just phone and chat. Im thinking of you!

Vix, not sure when the nurses go, suppose to be til this Friday but the day nurse told us today that she got an sms from the agency to say tomorrow is her lst day, so we not sure whats potting. Im nervous for when the nurses go, it is alot of work.Im feeling alot better, just tired obviously. A team is doing well, last wekk we were mixing their formula a bit incorrectly (sort of), the way we were mixing it was like sort of diluted compared to mixing it individually, so last week they were drinking 80/90mls, now they are drinking a little less but the mix is kind of thicker, its like eating rice compared to pap, so babies tummies had to get used to it, but doing fine now, we weighed them on the kitchen scale but it doesn't give and exact measurement so the girls are just under 3kg and lb about 2.7, you can see they have put on weight and filling up nicely. They're feedign 3 hourly. BTW, are you still BF/expressing? (re af)

Quick question, do you count 3 hours from the time they start their feed or from the time they end their feed, Ive been told 2 different stories and just want to hear what you do.

Anyway, gotta go, hope alll the still preggy fairsies are giong strogmn and hanging in there and to the mommies, hope you are all well!!
