Hi Girls

Firstly, a huge congrats to all the new Mommies! Yeah, yeah, yeah on all having happy, healthy and beautiful little babies.

I am in the office today, and might be the whole week, but hoping not. I am so damn tired. Man, I think I might die of tiredness. And I am so huge and hot. Although I love being pregnant, I am so looking forward to Adriaan being born now. My poor tummy is now officially one HUGE strechmark, and I am really sure it can't strech anymore. My little man was 2.8kg at 33 weeks, and the doctor warned me that he might be 5kg at birth. I am getting a little scared to be honest, but I am not giving up on my perfect natural birth that easily!

Could someone please do a quick update of dates of babies born so far? I have read back quite a bit, but am sure I have missed some? I have Evette, Chris, Binks, Sterretjie, Vix, Maryke, Chan, MommyN. Is that all?

Did I mention how tired I am??? (Just kidding....)

Our vacation was terrible, and I feel like I need a break. Thinking of taking a me-day (well, actually a few) before Adriaan comes. Hubby is back to work and my LG can spend some time with Grandma.

Vix - oh no, poor you! Hope Jono is ok today after the experience last night. Its now been you and Maryke that have had the breathing scare, I hope I dont have it with Nathan. I wasnt able to do the first aid course at the hospital bec it was Xmas eve and not enough people interested. Now to find the time to go and do it seems so difficult, with 3 or 4 hourly feeds and running after Sarah. I think DH will be back at full days from tomorrow, so I really need to get into a routine. Too much spoiling for Sarah!

Kimika - nice to hear from you! I forgot to find out, were you away?

Meags - you are on your way back tonight, hope the flight is going good and the in a away the weeks fly by until you are with DH again, but dont want to say goodbye to you!

Vix and Maryke, your boys weight's is so good! Well done!

Mina - good luck for the next few days, dont be too anxious, you are almost there!

Binks, how are you? Are you home yet?

Yvette, Chan, Ster, how are the baba's?

Lizelle - good luck with back to work. Only a few more weeks to go then ML! I am sure Asp is alsi back oline from this week.

Maryke, sounds like things are finally settling down - and MIL has left the building...

Chris - hope this week (maybe) or next week, you get to breastfeed more and get home! Sorry about you having to have a D&C, but at least it seems to have helped! Your body really took a knock the last few weeks, you will have to take it easy still and give it a chance to recover. Take what help you can get from family and friends, even if its just now and again.

247Mom - welcome to our group! I live in Pretoria, have a 15 month old LG and now a 1 month old LB - he was born just after 33 weeks when my membranes ruptured prematurely (water broke at 3am). But he is strong now and home which is so special!

I cant believe Nathan is a month old today!!! I know its a day to celebrate, but I was so scared and hurt that day and really hope I will forget all that and just be happy for that day.

Wow guys, its really hard work with 2 kids, but I keep thinking, it cant be the end of the worl, there are people who go on to have third and fourth children... I do not recommend a 14 or 15 month age gap to anyone! I actually think 10 or 11 months is the way to go... lol. Then they cant get up to mischief... Sarah is into everything!

Hi everyone else!!!

Hope everyone has a good week! I think most people are back into routines this week... Christmas comes and goes faster each year!

Nite nite!

Hi there.

Thanks for all your advise. I had the stretch and sweep done at about 1 o clock but no contractions yet. My midwife said that the servix is thinning good but there is still halve of it left and that I am 1cm dialated which is normal after having 2 babies already, so she said any time this week. I will be following all your advise and maby it wont be so long anymore.
I really want this baba out now!!

Binks how are you doing? Did they need to cut you or not? You were in labour for a short time hey? Really wish that mine will be short aswell.

Vix that is a big scare you got there. It will totally freak me out. I once held my nieces prem baby and she stopped breathing and I almost flipped. Really cant handle that!

Have a nice evening every one

Happy New Year all!!!

Welcome 247 mom! Lots of babies has been born already :)
I'm now 35weeks, 4 to go till my Csec date the 2nd Feb.

Back to work for me tomorrow (LO going back to daycare) - not in the mood. DH only starts working on Thursday.
Tuesday is my next Gynae app, can't wait, and only 3work weeks left :) ahhhh then ML!

Congrats Binks!!

Vix hope Jono is ok now, shame what a scare.

Good luck Mina!

Chris love your FB pic!
An Meags your Switzerland (snow) pics - love it!

I'm just glad my domestic will be back as well tomorrow - can't keep up with everything - and i hate ironing :) Will just do one or 2 pieces of clothes tonight for tomorrow lol ....

Can't believe baby will be here in 4 weeks, feels so unreal.
Hope i'll cope - at least LO will be @ daycare during the day.
Think it's just mixed feelings about the attention thing. Well i just normally think of all the other moms with more kids - "if they can do it, i can as well" :)

Hope everyone else is doing great!
Gonna try taking a quick nap - just put LO down as well.

Chat soon, and yes i must get my lazy butt in gear and post a tummy pic!

oh goodness Mina!!! your babies really love staying inside there!!
The only advice I can give is mostly what you are doing already!!!
The EPO capsules (maybe try 2 in the evenings and you can drink them too)
Have sex (then stay lying down to allow the semen to try help soften the cervix)
Walk a lot
bounce on your ball a lot
squat a lot
stretch and sweep
I am not convinced about the castor oil after yvette's experience! (although it seemed to maybe work for her!!)
meditation - imagine your cervix beginning to open, baby moving down into the birth canal etc

wow you have lasted so long! well done to you and please let us know how the stretch and sweep goes!
