Hi Mommies
Wow, I reckon our Jan/thread has become a Nov to Feb thread... LOL.
Hope everyone is enjoying their new babas!
Paed was very happy with Nathan on wed. He weighs 2,1kg now. He really is looking more and more like a normal newborn to us now. He is still so good, but I dont want to jinx it. He was awake for 2 and a half hours last night... I am going to try keep him a awake a bit more during the day, but there is always so much to do...
I am kind of looking forward to next week when DH goes back to work normal hours. He is currently only going in for a few hours a day, next week we are back to getting up at 6am and getting home again at 5 or 6pm. I am anxious to find a routine and get Missy BACK into a routine - too much time with Daddy and Nana has meant she is doing her own thing. She is so cute, brings everything to Nathan, just have to watch she doesnt throw something into the cot while he is sleeping!
Maryke and Vix - have you done the eye tests with the boys? Our paed has said we must check nathan's eyes next week. And ear tests?
Chris, hope all is ok at the gynae check up. Rather have it checked out. I really bled a lot less after the c-sec compared to Natural. But I was also surprised to bleed a bit after 2 weeks and some days I have a discharge but not a lot, more like when I wipe when going to the loo (thank goodness I dont go as much anymore LOL). Is anyone going for a mirena?
Chris, you are doing GREAT on the breastfeeding. Expressing only is not easy and especially when you are still recovering and also running between hospital and home (and dr). It will get easier when you can bf a bit and when you are home it will be more hectic but easier and less stressful. You have done so much for your kids - 33 weeks and EBM, wow! Incubators is a big step, sounds really positive and I am sure they will be in cribs before long and then just to drink all feeds with a bottle or BF, and then HOME!!! You learn so much in NICU - things you never consider before!
Ster - ah, Inge looks so beautiful! She looks so happy and peaceful! SHe looks a really healthy weight, you are blessed!
Nathan can do with some fattening up... dont suppose extra kilojoules in my diet will help... LOL. Chris, am sure you are a lot more comfy to be back to a normal size.
Carmen - nothing worse than sitting at the office and counting the minutes! Hope the time flies for you!
Binks - good luck for tomorrow! Wow a New Years baba, my friend is also having her c-sec at 9am tomorrow! You are lucky to have a 2011 baby!
Mina - hope you are feeling a bit better today! I know all about hormones racing! Take it easy on yourself!
Lizelle - all ok?
Yvette, hope you are settling down with beautiful Emily!
I am glad there a few girls now - too many boys at one stage... LOL
Maryke - MIL still around? Hope the boys are giving you some peace.
Vix - how is Jono today? Hope all is well with Alex and C too! Has jono managed anymore boobie time yet? I hope so!!!
Anyone heard from Suraya?
I know Asp is on leave so not looking at the forum - but thinking of you too! Looking forward to hearing how you are doing.
A friend just dropped 5 big bags full of clothes for Nathan and even some for Sarah! Cant believe it, we have been really blessed! Every little bit helps and the kids grow so quick that the clothes look so good still. It feels like Christmas all over!
Hope everyone has a safe, peaceful, wonderful New Years. Take it easy on the fireworks, please, I now have 2 kids who I dont want woken up at 12pm and I think of all the pets too!!!
Binks - again - good luck for tomo ! Will be thinking of you!
Take care to all the preggie moomie mommies and enjoy your little ones to all the new moomie mommies!
