Chris, I know first option would be to have the baba's home from the beginning, but in a way everything works out and at least you have the opportunity to rest and get better. THink of the mommies who are not well and go straight home and still have a newborn to look after. Dont take it the wrong way, but i would have cracked with my thrombosis and not being able to walk and still having to look after a newborn. In a way, I was able to heal myself before Nathan came home - dont take this the wrong way - just one way I look at everything.

Vix, sorry about Alex and the boob, you are amazing to be expressing! You have to do what is right at the time, and some things we dont have control over. I am sure it will all work out perfectly! You are doing amazingly!

Maryke, I am soooo envious of you getting a full nights rest. Nathan is really not a lot of work, but lately he is awake for an hour or two with every feed. He is holding his neck up, just so inquisitive, I believe that is why he also came so early!

It was DH birthday today and he went to work and no electricity, so he came home and I suggested an outing. Girls, I am sooooo nervous about going out, it is terrifying me actually. Sarah is just so busy and I dont know if I am going to cope. I am no sure if my meds are working 100% because I've been on them for over 4 weeks but still feeling not right. I'm seeing gynaie next week and will discuss with him. Maybe if I just get out and make things work it will be better. Being tired now doesnt help either, going to check my iron levels too (always battled with them).

I need to write my birthing story, I think it will help me accept the way things turned out for me too! It will probably be long story... you know me... its never a quick thing, its a novel!

Ok, I better go, Sarah is still up... just have to get back into her routine!!!

Hi ladies

Sorry no personals, just want to say a big congrats to binks, vanya is beautiful.

AFM, towards the end of my pregnancy when people asked how the babies and I were doing, I would say, the babies are doing better than me, and seems that is still the case, my babies are doing loads better than me!! at 3am yesterday I had high temp, not realising it but was so cold when I went to bed after expressing and woke dh up to hold me cos I was shivering so much, hardly slept, yesterday wasn't feeling 100%, but was ok, went to see the babies, I fed Athena, they have all picked up weight and their cheeks are so much fuller and have changed. Anyway, I just felt myself getting worse there and asked dh to go, I had high temps again last night it was 40.3 then I realised I had to take my clthes off cos I was making it worse and it dropped a bit but started going up again, I took some baby panado syrup, got into a coolish bath which helped a while but through the night I didn't sleep, I was just too cold and my body was shaking too much, temps still up so went back to hospital at 4h30n this morning and on more antibiotics, didn't get to see my babies today, but I want to be better before they come home. I managed to get a few hours of sleep today which has helped, I had to miss expresses, feeling better temperature wise, but just a bit dizzy from the meds now, I feel like such a druggy. Im on antibiotics to fight infection oon the womb from bleeding/post op after d&c, now also for lactating. I dont have mastitis, but I am all of a sudden getting more milk from my expresses, so the nurses reckon it could be that. Flip, if I had one baby and all this happened it would make me think twice about having another, Im really tired of being back and forth at the dr's cos my body is not right and I just want to see my babies and be ok for them, but I think they will be home very soon so I need to do this now so I'll be fine as when they home my body will probably take alot of strain again. The things us girls go through for love.

Anyway, so babies are doing well, dh went there today, Alexia is 2.05, Athena is 1.955 and Alessandro is 1.855. Alessandro finished a whole bottle sucking on his own yesterday. They're all on 47mls/3hrs.

Alex has started to refuse the breast, I have no idea why buy for 3 days and nights we fought for an hour each feed to get him to drink with no luck so I have decided to just express for both babies and give them both bottles. The important thing is that they get the BM not what they drink it from. I started bottle feeding him today and already it's loads better. He feeds in 10 min compared to an hour fighting which has made me feel much better. The only bugger is I need 200ml every 3hrs so expressing is taking a while. I'm hoping to win the breast pump competition so I can buy the double attachment and hopefully pump faster then so I can rest more, fx fxfxfxfxfx

Wow Binks what a lot of hair and she looks just like her sister. Gynie said that Bernice will also have a lot of hair so I cant wait to see. Glad you are back at home.

Aspoestertjie don't let the doctors confince you to not do natural. If baba is not in danger there is no way you wont be able to do normal. Enjoy

I just jumped trampoline with my 2 girls and if I am not in labour tonight I am going to walk through Eastrand Mall (which is 80min drive from wherer I live) tomorrow until I am in labour.

Vix I know the feeling, our alarm goes of about everynight but I realized it's Llewellyn that keeps going down in the cot so that the pad doesn't pick him up but not nice at 3 in the morning gives you such a fright

MommyN wow a whole month, yes very glad everything is settling at home but now my domestic hasn't pitched for work so I also fired her this morning
