Morning ladies,
Maryke- sorry your night nurse didn't pitch

I hope she comes tonight! I was thinking about you getting a good nights sleep last night whilst I was up. I do the night shifts alone, I figured when Elwyn goes back to work I'll have to do it alone so I may aswell get used to it already. It's usually not too bad, they go down about 9:30/10 and wake once at 2/3 then again at 6/7 but last night was awful, I saw every single hour except 5am, some how skipped that hour but I feel like cr@p because I now have a cold. Are your boys still doing the eat then sleep thing or are they starting to be awake between feeds? I am starting have trouble settling mine between feeds and I'm wondering if they need more stimulation at this age? But if so what on earth can I do with them? I feel so new to everything again because I can't just leave them on a play mat and walk off because of C so now I'm at a loss.
Welcome new ladies! This is a great group of very supportive women and I hope you'll fit right in. I am a JHB mommy to a 2 year old boy 'C' and 5 week old Twins Alex and Jono, they were born at 35w.
Girls- today would've been my 40w! Wow, can't believe it, if I was having a singleton I would probably still be pregnant.
I was driving 6 days after my C-sec but I had no choice, I had a baby in hospital to go see and no one to take me. I know you're not supposed to drive after C-sec, although not one Dr or nurse instructed me not to, but for me it was impossible having one baby in hospital and one at home. I can't really see why driving is bad though? If you're sitting in the right position you shouldn't be straining to drive surely?
Ster- I also had to have my stitch taken out a week later. I had that funny 'blind' stitch where the only visible bits are the 2 ends. They cut one end and pull the stitch through.
We're thinking about having a bit of a coffee meet on Mon 17th at jingle Jangle PTA east so we can take the first borns with, if anyone is interested in coming, it's not dfar from N1 Rigel off ramp, or hams strydom dr if that helps anyone? I am going along but I might not stay too long, keeping and eye on all 3 boys might be crazy times for me but I really want to try, if I don't try going out alone soon I maybe never will.
Alex refused the breast again from 6pm yesterday and even this morning so back to bottles and full time expressing for me again. I am getting 180ml from my left breast but only 70ml from my right, I look like a lop sided dairy cow. Did I tell you I need to express 1.2l a day to provide for these 2!
