Oh no Mandz, this whole house of mine's got the damn Flu this week.
It's the one illness after the other - i'm now so "gatvol"!!

I think your little Jordyn one has topped the 9kg, cause Kayden is now 6months and 8kg. And they tell me she is small and she does look small.

I'm planning Minnie Mouse for Kayden, did the invites yesterday - love doing it so early. Still 6months to go LOL LOL...crazy mom. Even Riaan's invites "sample" i've got ready, but only the sample. And everything i will need to make the others print out already - but will attend to those more closer to May 2012 lol..
I'm only gonna get Kayden a soft doll - she is still small and got lots of other soft toys that was Riaan's.

Maryke - would love to do Riaan's Tonsils but the Medical aid is not gonna cover this year anymore - i had the c-sec and hubby the nose opperation - hopefully next year.
And i hear that if you had the Mumps only on the one side you can get it again, that includes me, Riaan and not sure of Kayden - cause she didn't show any swelling.
Congrats on Llewellyn's first tooth and good luck on with the moving and cleaning the other house*

Kayden had a fever of 39.6 last night - (didn't felt to warm though) - but gave her 5ml panado before considering the "setpil", and it was all over soon. Think she cuts teeth just like her brother use to do when teething - only with fever.
Those gums are itchy - and so the drinking goes so-so, but now with the snotters i was expecting the feedings to be more difficult but no..she is doing great.

Had a great night as well, drank her last bottle 8pm - eyes closed @ about 10pm (was just lying calmly in her cot) and then next feeding was supose to be at 00:00 but only woke at 5:15 for the next bottle - think she knew mom needed the sleep. Thanks KAYDEN! That Panado prob was the reason for this great long sleepy.

Maryke- good luck with the move, what an exciting time that's ahead for you! Please send pics when you are settled. As for your snack at 4pm lol! I mean wTH? Like you are supposed to smell your kids have been fed!

Jordyn is getting so cute now, he started "clapping handies" and he loves the praise he gets and gives us the biggest gummy smile you have ever seen. My heart just melts. Still no teeth, still not crawling. I reckon he is a little lazy, as he just rolls where he wants to go. He isn't even trying to crawl. I am sure it will happen in good time, hopefully. I heard it is important.

He is drinking quite well, and eating well too. I put some pear in one of those net weaner thingies the other day and he sucked all the juices from the pear, he loved it! He still gags for anything he doesn't like. I tried pureeing peas, man alive that was a waste of time. I offered it to him and he looked at me with these eyes that said "mom are you trying to kill me?"....he "grills" and pulls the funniest face and closes his mouth and bites his lip as to say "no more".

Tomorrow is the big 9 months! Can you believe it! We have 3 months to plan for his birthday. Any ideas anyone? He loves Mickeymouse Clubhouse, I am thinking of attempting a cake or ordering one. It will be just family, so maybe cake and tea or snacks. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas would be great! And what are you planning on getting your little ones for their 1st Birthday?

So tomorrow is checkup and injections, feels like its been ages since we went to the Paed. (touch wood). I am actually looking forward to it, she is always so helpful. I wonder if J has tipped 9 kg yet.

We are going for a small photo shoot on Sunday, looking forward to that.

we are all fading away why???

I was a tad bit upset with the school last week, for 3 days in a row when I fetch the boys from school we get home I feed but they moan and groan when I feed so have the time I waist a half bottle of purtiy but anywhooo, 5 min after the feed the boys vomits so here I am thinking o gosh here we go again, so I started thinking maybe the dairy is making them a bit illish cause of the post nasal drip and blah blah blah, so I phone the school on the 3rd day and requested them to rather not feed them yogurt anymore is making them vomit just to find out it's purity and they are being fed at 4 a snack, cause there is a parranoid mom who says her child is underfed so she brings purity for the whole freeken shcool....so snack at 4 supper at 5 my poor boys are beeing overfed WTF, so I said hell no please when I pick up the boys they get supper at 5 and in bed at 6. O so sorry I will stop them from feeding the boys. I told them if they really want to give a snack rather just a marie biscuit????

Mandz, some evenings when I am to lazy I just put porridge in the milk bottle so there we are supper bottles, boys are happy mommy happy

Lizelle sjoe that sounds hectic, glad they doing ok, oeg and mumps are so flippen eina, lucky Kayden got it now. Are they going to remove Riaan's tonsils now?

Chan, is the sleeping still going good, glad you found out that it's the milk is it all better still?

Kayden 6months today

Shjoe girls feels like forever - think i was online more than a month ago.
I feel so bad about this, but i was a total wreck (stressball) with the sick kids and
could'nt find the time to post here. Was missing you all. During the day at work i have more time for Moomie now.

Well round about the 24th of June Riaan had Tonsil's (mangelontsteking) for the 5th time, was sick for a week, in that same week just 2 days before, Kayden was also sick with a bad cold.
Just as i thought now the kids are well (and hopefully the last for this year) - it was one and a½ week i think ( well the time between the sick times felt short) of back to normal then Riaan got sick again (22nd July) with Mumps (Pampoentjies). Then hoped that little Kayden won't get it, well then she did.

Struggled so much with her bottle - i got a "maagseer" from all the stress.
And then meanwhile the gums were also "eina", i weren't aloud to touch them with teegel, Ashton powders or Prodol.
(O'ja and the more i old the daycare mom that the gums is giving problems as well the more she argued that there's nothing wrong with her gums - coming from a woman that is anti- meds and doesn't even want to rub het gums so maybe she could drink the bottle better. - i were the one to see that i'm not even aloud near her mouth and feel the gums -bumpy and swolen and could clearly see it in her nappies) She had me all stressed up i tell you - even suggested to change milk from Nan to Lactogen - so i did, and it didn't change the fact that she doesn't want to drink her bottle's. She just had a sore mouth and throut.
Gave her a Probiflora as well for the tummy - wich i thought was also crampy from the painkillers the Pead subscribed -Lotem.
After that i saw improvement.
My mom came to help with her during the day, cause my spacial leave days that you get to look after your kids were standing on a 0 and i was sick and tired of a moaning daycaremom! In my opinion she's got too much kids on her fork and no help with them. The law states i think that 1 person per 6kids (not sure)- she's got 9 or more at a time.
From this week it's 3babies, and the todlers are all 2-4years of age.
She is very good with them and they get cooked meals witch other daycare moms don't give, but my honest opinion is she needs help. (Even though she has over 30yrs experience - that tells me nothing about taking care alone) Not sure how to aprouch her on this issue. Wish i could get hold of the rules and regulations for daycare moms.
Hubby also helped 2days alone with both - brave one :o)

Well i'm happy to report (touch wood) that Kayden was her old self by Friday night sleeping 6hours again @ night and drinking good again.
Hope that they stay well now for the rest of the year.
The only thing now is still the gums that has her restless now and then @ night.

Hope all the other mom's are well.
Will try to catch up again on you all.

Chris we tried the Novalac AC but there was no improvement at all so just went back to Nan HA because it's easier to get.

So glad its weekend, not much happening our side. Babies are so very cute, I could just eat them all up! Alexia is sitting nicely, she sometimes topples over, but she can sit for quite some time on her own.
