Sterretjie- just make sure you do have about 7 newborn baby grows so you can get through the 1st month. My boy was 3.3kg and actually 0-3m was too big for him, he wore newborn baby grows and even a couple of tiny baby ones for at least the 1st month. I was surprised because I like you had been told not to get newborn sizes because they don't always use them but 3.3kg is an average sized baby really and he needed some smaller things.

Trust me, too, if you don't want to be washing clothes every other day you'll need at least 10 outfits per baby for a week. At first you don't change very often because newborns really don't get dirty but after a couple of weeks the sick ups start and if you're really unlucky and get a reflux baby you'll be changing babies and your clothes about 30min after every single feed. Boys usually pee when you take their nappy off and even if you try and swap the nappy quickly most likely that split second he will have managed to soak his baby grow.

From my experience as a first time mum I went out and bought the most adorable 2 piece sets for my boy, little denims little sneakers, hoodies etc, awful!!! Completely impractical when you're trying to dress a sleeping or kicking screaming baby. Choose baby grows that undo at the front never the back and poppers under the crotch are a nessecity. I bought a nice set of baby grows but never used them after I realised it was a pain to get them over the head or done up from the back. It's amazing what you don't think about before you've had to dress your own sleeping baby.

Chris- so pleased you're working from home, the more relaxed situation will surely help! It's amazing you are so close to the end of your first ever and possibly even last pregnancy! It must be an amazing but overwhelming feeling! Soon my friend your babies are going to be here!!!!!!!! Xxxxxxx so exciting!

I'm pleased you're coming on sat, can't wait to see your tripple bump and how it's grown!

Chan- sorry you're so uncomfortable. If you can get yourself booked in for a full back massage do it! I have a machine I'm using every night and it has really made a HUGE difference to my rib and back pain!

Sterretjie, I didn't see your post! Glad you had your baby shower too! Yes, tell me about being spoiled, I felt a little guilty as everyone got stuff for all babies, our whole double cupboard top 2 shelves is filled with nappies.

Hope you feel better soon Chan, on the upside, so very glad you have few working days left, also you Sterretjie!!

Just saw my ticker at 27w3d, I thougth WOW, cant believe I have come thus far, I'll be alot more relaxed once we reach 28 and then 30w :)

Anyway actually just wanted to say that at my last appointment the sister had said to me to eat yoghurt (I normally eat one everyday), she said thats good and also to have cranberry juice now and then, I think its more to help with any infection that might be brewing.

Hi Ladies

Glad to hear you are all well!!!!

I am getting bigger and bigger by the day - still cannot believe how the tummy can stretch LOL

I also had my baby shower on Saturday and it was stunning. Chris, I am with you on the clothes - I think I can change Inge three times a day and still have a set or two just for in case. I got one newborn outfit that I went to change yesterday as I am sure Inge will get more wear out of 3-6months than Newborn or 0-3months. Still have a couple of items I need to go swop for bigger sizes. We were really spoiled.

4 more weeks of working for me - this morning I was very tired getting out of bed but I think it is all the activity on Saturday that might have caused it - I do feel better now.

Thanks Meags re BH. I was wondering if it could be but know I am convinced that it is BH. I do get it more at late afternoon / night but it is not sore just a bit uncomfortable - but it is over quickly

Have a great day

Hi Ladies!!

Chan, glad the blister is gone, ouch, sounds like it was quite painful.

MommyN, hope you are feeling better today!!

Binks, I think its like Vix said, its the "knowing" part that is making it scary for you, but you did so well then and doing so well now, that you will be fine again! ;)

Paisley, hope you have found comfortable underwear to help with the skin irritation!

Vix, Ill probably make it this weekend, you can count me.

AFM, I got out of bed at 9h30 this am, aaaah, it was so nice, feels weird not having to go into work! I'll be working from home, but at least I know I can rest inbetween and do it in my time. Saturday I had my babyshower, YAY!! It was soo nice, my sister and MIL really went out of their way, from the food and cakes to the decorations and small gifts for guests, it was really nice. We came home after the baby shower at about 18h30 and started sorting the things out, I was completely finished, only got to bed after 12h30, my back was so sore, so everything is packed, just need to wash now, my babies are fully equipped now especially for the first 6 months, they got such cute outfits, there is a few things I need to change, well, I will return them and just keep the vouchers as I hardly have any winter stuff, so will keep it for when winter comes. Its really difficult to say how much you will need for 3  I "think" I have enough premi outfits, I "think" I have enough newborn.... etc... Towels??? I'm not sure  Our place is still a little upside down after the baby shower, need to try sort it out slowly today as yesterday, we did buggerall!! We went for our photoshoot yesterday am, it was very nice, cant wait to see the pics, then we got chinese for lunch on our way home and I slept for about 4 hours. Anyway, I have been getting alot of BH, I think now cos my tummy is bigger its alot more uncomfotable, I try take note of how many times I get them, I might get them often in 2 hours or something but then I wont have until a while later, It never crossed my mind that is was BH until I queried with meags, I just thought the babies were doing something funny  yeah right! So in a way its good that I am home now.

Anyway, will log on later to see what you all have been up to

Morning ladies,

MommyN- how are your emotions today? feeling any better yet?

Chan- so pleased your blister is down! i hope it's dried up nicely now! poor thing! xxxxxxx

Binks- i think the first time round all you know about the birth is what you read and hear, the second time round you really know what it was like for you and as the second birth nears you only remember the 'bad' bits. try to focus on the good things about Vanya's impending arrival! xxxxxxx

so gautengers meet, Cappuccinos @ Greenstone mall, Edenvale 11am saturday 13th November. Who's in? I'll take provisional numbers and make a booking today and just get more confirmed numbers on thurday when people know how they're feeling. looking forward to seeing everyone!
