Sorry to butt in (but the topic of a big baby and needing a caesar is my favourite!!)

Chan why do you think you may need a caesar??
You know a baby that weighs 3.2kg or 3.8kg generally has the same size head circumference? And the head is the part that is the hardest to get out. once the head is out, the rest is easy.
Biggest baby I have delivered naturally was 4.3kg and the mom didnt tear either

Scan went well! Kade is perfect. Weighs 2.236kgs now. Which is bigger than he should be. Doc estimates a birth weight of 3.8kgs if we go full term! Days I need to start looking into c-sec and reading up on it because its a big possibility I might be heading that way. I'm really emotional but guess there's nothing I can do. At least kade is healthy that's the main thing

Maryke- oh now it makes sense, wow 3 accidents in 1 pregnancy! Poor thing, goodness knows how you ever found the confidence to get back behind the wheel. I think my hubby would also be paranoid if it was me. But I hope you get to come, I want to see your tum and even have a grope LOL I was just wondering what it feels like to feel a baby move in someone elses tummy.......sounds odd doesn't it but I haven't felt someone else baby move before LOL

Vix you see the problem is not the where it is he is just parranoid because when I was pregnant with Frances-Jane I had 3 accidents the second one was real bad and it was like 5 km's from home so he doesn't actually want me driving around he drives me at the moment or my mom yes I know it's freaky but the only time I really drive is a Monday and wednesday when I need to take her swimming then no one is availible to cart us, and seeing that it's my new car he is even more paranoid, but like I said I always get my why he he he.....

Asp I had a lady do it for me for 20 kids she charged me R 2500-00 it included a themed cake & cupcakes the party packs, tables and chairs, overlays to you theme and table cloths 1 x hellium beloon per child a photo board and a jumping castle delivered to our house.
I also found putting out food for the kids is a waste all I done was hotdogs for the adults the viannas you can freeze and the bread rolls if there is left over or I just split them between the family so no big waste and I supplied colddrinks we actually buy the Planet carbonated drinks from Checkers and they cost like R 10.00 per 2litre where coke a cola charges like R16-00 per 2litre and the Planet coldrinks have more of a pick they have lemonade, mango, cola light, litchi, rassberry, cream soda, coke, iron brew, orange, lime and so forth with plastic cups that you can just chuck in the dustbin and voila party planned

Asp- you can get the little plastic buckets at a plastics shop like Just plastics, i was there yesterday and they start from R5, R7 and up depending on the size but my big money saving tip would be to buy the small ones then it costs less to fill.

another tip we have recently learned with our LO's 2nd birthdays is forget about food as such, it gets wasted, kids just want sweets and cakes and the adults don't really touch the savoury stuff either.

also kiddies drinks need to be in cartons or Oros type bottles, the sachet drinks don't work for small kids.

get your party sweets and drinks from Makro

kids love cupcakes because they can have one each so if you really must get a main cake don't go too big.

I have bow been rudely reminded about my Lg's upcoming b-day in Dec (thanks Maryke )

First time I will have to do a party on a budget (I know I sound so spoilt....) but usually I would buy whatever I like since I work my ass off for my salary (lol), but now I have to try spend as little as possible as I won't get any money for 4 months.

I was thinking of keeping it small, but knowing Hubby, he will be going all out!

I need some ideas for money saving. Also maybe a cheap place to get a nice cake done. I will be attempting cupcakes and snacks myself, but will need a nice cake to make up for my "attempts"

The theme will be fairy - luckily I have bought some stuff last year already. Need to dig them up and have a look for similar fairy stuff. And some blue flowers for the boys.

I like the little bucket idea Maryke. Where did you get them? Or was it a party hosted at a venue where they do everything for you?
