Jan/Feb 2011 Mommies (Nov & Dec 2010 early babes)

Just wanted to pop in and say HI!

Things have been so freaking hectic again. My nanny walked out last Friday in the middle of the day - just said Kade has made her body sore and unwell and she can't work here anymore and off she walked!

Then he got sick again! OMG - back on Venteze, Nebuliser 3X a day, Cortisone!!!

Then off to the ENT specialist yesterday - definitely fluid behind his ears. Has to take Aterax (antihistamine with heavy sedative effects) to try dry up the fluids. If not clear when we go back in 2 weeks then he has to have grommets put it. I just wish they'd put them in already - I had these same problems with my daughter and the grommets worked wonders!

So we gave him the Aterax last night - with a heavy warning from the pharmacist that he will experience heavy sedation!!!!!! Freaking funny! We got up about 14 times last night!!! I'm at my witts end actually. I have no idea how i'm even walking around, let alone working everyday and running around after kids in the afternoons. I'm literally a walking zombie at the moment. Kade wakes up every 30 to 40 minutes now throughout the night. There is never a longer gap than 40 minutes!

We got a night nurse to come in on Monday night. Ah I felt so weird and wrong leaving him with her. I was a wreck. But I need to do something because my marriage and daughter and us can't live like this anymore. Kade woke up 4 times but never cried. If he'd cried I would have been out my bed in a flash!! At least I slept from 9 to 2am without waking up! First time in forever! But I don't know if i'll do it again - I just felt too bad and it felt wrong!

So I guess we have to sit it out now for the next two weeks to see if the meds clear his ears. If not grommets. And who knows if that will help????

Shew it has been DEAD in here.

It looks like almost everyone has been gripped with sick LO's or sick themselves! I am feeling a lot better after I went back to Doc and told him his "allergy" was definitely the flu. The antibiotics definitely helped, all I have left is a cough. I have been so worried that Jordyn would get it, but so far so good. I have noticed he has a bit of a cough but its only now and then. So just watching him. We had such a difficult time with him the weekend, he just didn't seem right. He slept a lot, wanted to be held and no smiles. It seems like teething but STILL no sign of one!!!! He is waking a few times a night now too.

Maryke- Yeah for Aiden! Was he ok during the process of the tooth coming?

ChanM-Shame poor Kade with the allergies. I am so glad that you have got to the bottom of things now. And I hope the meds work!

Chris- How are the trio doing? Shame you have also been sick? I feel for you!

Thanks to all for the complements on Kayden's room.
Only thing still left to paint (on DH demand) is the panel heather gave it a white coating, but he wants me to do a few pink light stripes over it - i'm not to sure about this - all gonna be to much pink. He asked me last night if i'm going to do it this weekend - i said; Wait a bit...Slowly - give me time to recover - still tired lol... men.

I'm gonna have a look at our American Swiss this weekend, maybe they will do Kaydens ears. Hope they've got something nice for her. Chris send pics when you've done your girls ears.

Long time no chat was very busy with the building of our house and work and bla bla bla you all know

Ok So for the first baby born on our thread (Sorry mandz not excluding you) Our little Aiden got his firt pearl hoohaa you go Aiden! (the only symptom was pooh nappies other then that he was or still is ok)

My boys are also snotty but much better since last week and they still sleeping ok....

Had them for an outstanding shot today that they never had at 4 months weighed them Aiden-7.6kg 63cm and Llewellyn 6.9kg 64cm

Sjoe so much to say but can't think of it all now blagh!!!!

Chanm glad you guys are getting to a point now where colic has been ruled out and you can start solving the problem, you must feel so relieved at the moment knowing what's the problem now and can deal with it now, ok well once Kade is better, just a quick one I use the airchamber with the boys to neb them cause the machine takes way to long and it's noisy, I use my chamber with combivent and it really takes 5 seconds and they sorted and half of the meds don't escape.


Chris your angels are gorgeous, I pierced Frances-Jane's ears at 4 months and there is nothing wrong with her ears each to his own. Shame sick again is it the RSV again or just flu?

Ster glad my daughter in law is doing so great and eating so well!
