Its been a while, been quite busy, babies all asleep now so have time to sit and do something!

Chan, Sterretjie, Binks (and others), so sorry for your lo's being sick, it really is terrible.

MommyN, it was great seeing you too and Nathan is getting so big and cute! I will go look at the thread about the blw, I dont think it will be a problem as everytime we eat they just want to grab what we eat.We have been a bit more "lenient" about their eatig habits, I think alot of their eating is more about curiosity. I told dh about giving Nathan the banana, his reaction was, "Really?"... and then went and tried it with Alessandro who quite enjoyed it, but didnt give him the whole thing, just wanted to test it.

Suriya, how is Shrevash now? What was causing the high temp?

Chanm, Im sure Thrusday cant come soon enough for you, really hope this will be the answer, its got to be?

So the last 3 nights I have put Alessandro to bed on his tummy, and the first 2 he slept right through, last night he woke, turned him over, then he woke again and was wide awake, but he just seems a bit grumpy today, like a cry baby, lol, sounds cruel, but I put him down and he cries.

Last Sunday I went to pierce the girls ears, they were so good, so glad we finally did it.

Hope you and your lo's are doing well.

Sorry for being MIA but work has been hectic. Also been off due to the flu. Both Shrevash and I were both sick.

It was so terrible, Shrevash got such a high fever that we had to rush him to hospital. On the way there I almost thought that he had died, he went away so quiet and I couldn't feel his breath. Luckily DH shouted and shook him and he opened his eyes.

I don't know what I would have done if I had lost him.

Anyway both of us are doing much better now. Shrevash has started sitting on his own. In his bath yesterday you should have seen how he was splashing the water.

Thashreya is doing fine. Getting very naughty. She keeps taking her shoes or slippers off.

Will try to keep in touch more often.

We had a good trip to jhb was really nice to get away from home but still dont like jhb trafic. We ook some stunning photos of the girls cant wait tohave a look at them.

Suhaila no she only eating the pap and milk with it.

I wanted to ask when didyou guys start giving your little ones vegs???

Little Vanya had some pumpkin from my plate yesterday and she just loved it wanted more ad more.

Mandz all babies are different and unless there is pathology in the form of major delays they all pretty much end up on the same level. Have to still take Aaqil for his 7th month weigh in, but last he was below the 50th percentile for weight but above the 75th percentile for height. Sound wise he is making dada, hada and baba noises but completely randomly. He has just learnt how to go from sitting into crawling and from crawling back into sitting. He is a daredevil and will attempt to go off surfaces. He doesn't seem to be teething at all. He kisses baba which is everything including his reflection, and when we go bye bye or tata now I'm showing him how to wave. Not sure if he gets what I'm on about lol:)

@Binks do u give her anything with the pap?

MommyN glad ur feeling better. Hope mr and missy end up being great buds. Ny sisters are my best friends. Still doing blw in my own way. He has purity, cerelac honey now, or oats, I cook for him and puree or he eats of our plates. Everything from chicken, cheese, veg al forno etc. He loves yoghurt and marie biscuits. My floor is suffering but he enjoys holding and then throwing his own orange slice. He drinks fron a bottle or glass.

Chan- I was almost in tears wheh I read that the doc said he doubts it was colic and him trying to sit up cos of the pain! The months of hell for all of you but most of all poor Kade! This could really all have been sorted. Well about the starving thing, that is going to be horrible! It will obviously be through the night? Lets hope he goes to sleep and decides to sleep right through and forget about food. And I just know after the op you guys are going to be back to normal.

Suhaila- Look at that big boy! He is also small built like Jordyn...well i think Jordyn is normal on the length side but weighs 8.4kg....And Aaqil?

MommyN- I am starting to worry about Jordyn He really is not crawling, he sort of rolls where he wants to be. I guess all babies are different hey? I agree on the waking up as a happy baby, Jordyn has never woken up crying not even in the day, not even when he was small- we are blessed with happy babies

About the Purity, I must go look I bought from Dischem-thinking they were reasonable but I paid about R6.25 for stage 2. And baby city just under R9.00 for Stage 3.

As for us, Jordyn is fine- can you believe it 8 months old now and STILL no teeth! And I was wondering, he is still on cereal/porridge and puree and I try leave it a little lumpier and obviously try the purity with a little texture- but he gags. Is this normal still? If he does that I just try a few more and if it gets bad I add some smooth fruit purity and thin it out and he will eat it. I know you shouldnt rush it but you also dont want to be doing him an injustice. And the whole finger food thing, he doesnt grab any food we have near of if I try and see if he will taste something etc... So my thoughts are that he is not ready. What he does do if i drink a glass of water he wants glass to his mouth and he will try drink. So we getting there. I just read of your LO's and they are a little younger than J and get worried.

Also were any of you told to do hard boiled egg for 2 weeks at 8 months in prep for jab at 9 months by your paed? How should I do this?

Other than that he is getting so cute. He has a few toys or books, and if say kiss the baba...he bends down and sticks his tongue out and "kisses the baba" ....my heart melts!

MommyN - re tea - I was told not to give Inge Rooibos tea because of her reflux but rather flennel tea or camomile. Apparently the rooibos tea could aggrevate the reflux
It was my SIL who was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of days after my baby shower. She has finished her chemo terapy and is busy with 8 weeks of radiation. She is still so positive even after having a terrible allergic reaction to the chemo and she is always willing to help with Inge. It still breaks my heart to see her like this but we hope and pray that she will be fine

Chan - I still cannot believe that not one Pead picked up on Kade's ears. My Pead sent us for the pressure test the first time that Inge had an ear infection. Shame man the poor little boy and his Mommy and Daddy with the sleepless nights.

Our Checkers had the Purity 2 the other day - buy 5 for R5.69 and get 1 free (125ml)

AFM - Inge is much better - still only the coughing that is a bit bad but so much better than Monday. She loves Granny but as soon as she sees me then she doesn't want to know about Daddy or Granny - so Ma-vas.

Well going to jhb for the weekend so need to go pack but maybe have a snooze since i worked last night and only went to bed at 3am.
