Such a lot has happend - I have been reading the posts - lets see how much I can remember

To all the new mommies - welcome. My name is Amelia and I'm a first time Mom to a 4 month old girl - Inge.

Vix - hope you and the boys are doing well. I took off tomorrow especially for the wedding (my excuse was that the creche is closed tomorrow!!!!)

AFM - we have been MIA. We are doing very well and coping good with going back to work and the new challenges of getting up early in the morning and so far I haven't forgotten to fetch Inge after work LOL

she is growing up too fast and has started with Solids last week Friday - Pead was happy for her to start as it will most likely help with the reflux. She loves her porridge in the morning but the late afternoon feed is still a mission - she is most of the times too tired to eat but we are working on it. I have made some butternut for her but she didn't like it so I bought her the Woolies stage 1 (sweet butternut; pumpkin and apple) and she loved it. Will make her some carrots for tomorrow as I'm slowly but surely introducing her to different veggies. Unfortunately she will not be having Purity as I cannot stand the smell or taste of Purity and steaming veggies for her goes so quickly. The butternut I made for her the other day had a funny taste so I will buy fresh butternut again and try that later on.

She started crying again when I bathed her and realised that we don't want to lay down anymore in the bath - we want to sit up so I bought her a cute seat for the bath and now we love to bath again - Hanna Montanna
She is still another little one when it comes to sleeping - still only takes 30 minutes powernaps during the day and sometimes at night she still thinks that it is playtime at 02:30 and then the next night she will sleep from 19:00 to 04:00 however this doesn;t happen often - but we are working on this

Miksmom, glad Wian is doing better, yay for the rolling over both ways!! Alessandro has rolled over once and he seems too lazy to do it again

Vix, Im also looking forward to the wedding! Hope it was just a bug on Jono, but glad his tummy is sorted!

Suhaila, when do you start work again (or have you already?), I know you work 2hours a week, is it on specific days or any day?

As for the mag, the lady said she will get back to me, they not sure when the runnign those stories (???) not too sure, maybe they not posting it anymore? Who knows?

Took our lot for their injections on Tuesday, Alessandro weighs 6.56kg, Alexia weighing at 6.55 and Athena 6.09, Alessadnro and Alexia are 60.5cm and Athena 59cm. SO glad Athena is growing, she looks so small next to the other 2 and she doesnt eat as well as them so have been a bit concerned.

They are just sooo cute, they are talking so much, Alessandro is starting to giggle, he is also a mommy's boy, and I love it! Miksmom, dont feel bad, I have this thing and maybe its cos I wont have anymore children but I find myself so happy and grinng inside whensomeone battles with my babies and then on mommy they just settle or drink their milk, I mean, they are my babies, but there is a whole lot more that I need to hide, hehe.

I tried getting an appointment to go to paed this week but she is off this week, I want to chat to her about the rice cereals and all that and what she recommends. You always hear 2 sides, so will just feel better and more at ease if I chat to her about what to do. I have been concerned that the babies are not gettign enough milk as they have been so fussy and complain when they feed, they could go without their bottles if it were up to them. Their hands are always in their mouths and Athena plays with her tongue in her mouth, its so cute, so she has probably discovered it, Im not sure if she is teething yet, but I know the other 2 are for definite as Alessandros has cut thru a little.

It has been so nice having dh home during the day, poor man gets so worked up when these babies cry and dont want to drink, he hates seeing them cry.

So AF has reared her face over the weekend (sat), exactly when I thought she would, but I must admit, as much as I never want it, it was more pleasant now compared to before, I always used to suffer bad with cramps and lived on myprodol for the first 2/3 days, now I had no cramps, nada!! Who would of thought it would be lovely to have af? lol

I thinks its perfectly fine for her to help around the house. My nanny is a stay in and she has to clean the house. She cannot look after Lesego in an unkept house.

However, she does what she can because he can be demanding at times. Tell me about the ironing. She's been a life saver. She is a bit slow though my nanny. I wonder about her sometimes.

Lesego is 8.1kgs at 4 months. Started on Cereal and Sweet potato purity. He loves it.

He is drooling so much and biting his bottom lip and even has a rash around his chin and neck. He seems to hate Teegel and he spits it out and pulls his face.

Miks/Meags- about the Breasfeeding and Jaundice. OUr GP told us that breastfeeding a jaundice baby makes it worse. She advised that it's best to pump to stimulate breastmilk production while baby is under lights.

Thank you, Wian is doing much better! Today is his last day at school, tomorrow he will stay home with daddy to watch the wedding LOL and on Tuesday the new nanny starts. I am hoping and praying that we are doing the right thing but it can't go on like this!! Thank you on the milestone.. everyone says he is a real mommy's boy. He cries and cries if someone else tries to hold him... (I secretly enjoy this... )

HALLO GML!!! I wondered how you and your little man where doing!! How is your nanny? What do you give her to do during the day besides look after your nunu? I think ours can help out a bit with ironing while he sleeps... (cause i really HATE it) do you think that is okay? I did ask her and she was fine with it...

Someone asked about Champers... I talk to her on bbm.. she is well and her boy is doing very well too! He is a big boy and I think he weighs around 9kg. GOrgeous little thing!

Suhaila @ I avoid the cow.. haven't seen her since our last "incident" and luckily they have been away over Easter. Who looks after your little angel when you work? I can't remember if you told us...

Mandz @ woohooo I love weddings! Hope you have heaps of fun!! Will you post us a pic when you get back? I'm a bit out of the loop... are you going back to work? Who is going to look after Jordyn?

Vix @ Hi friendie! I can't wait for the royal wedding either.. unfortunately I'm stuck at work but will sneak off for a looong lunch. Where you in the UK with Princess Di's funeral? We were watching snippets of it on tv last night... wow.. it was SO sad. Can you believe these monkeys are 5 months old??

Meags @ ugh... La Leche didn't help me much with Wian either. He was latching and drinking like a champ... our problem was the breastmilk jaundice. He was sooo yellow at 6 weeks and it wasn't getting any better. The only advice she gave me is to keep on BF, it will get better.. the pediatrician didn't agree with her, he thought it to be too risky. If I continued to bf, Wian had to have billi checks every 3 -4 days to make sure it wasn't getting to dangerous levels. In the end I couldn't stand him screaming from all the needles so we switched to formula. Good luck with your little monkey... have you read Baby Sense? that helped a lot for me. Minimize all environmental things that could send them "over the edge" Good luck...

Mandz & Suhaila- it is so funny that I really didn't want twins and bam I got them and both boys at that. I often remind myself of those days when I said I wouldn't be able to handle twins LOL never got the PND I was expecting so that helps! I only found out at 12w that they were both in there so after my 7w scan showed 1 it was a bit of a shocker.

Meags- everyone always raves about La Leche league but I also phoned someone when I was struggling to keep up with C's over demand and she basically told me, what am I complaining about just feed him when he wants I can have my own time when he sleeps. HelI was so pissed at her attitude. I really think some of these people who never have any BF issues really don't understand how tough it can be. Jono was just the same as Matt and refused to latch he would scream the roof off if I tried, only I didn't persevere as long as you, I've had PND before and I wasn't going to risk going back there so I just expressed and bottle fed. You're doing an amazing job! As for the formula and constipation, when you do eventually wean Matt over to a formula then you'll need to give him a little bit of lacson (or US equivelent) for a few days until his body can get used to it, it's a huge transition from BM to formula. I used lacson with my boys if ever I see they don't go for 18-24hrs I start with the stuff.

I changed Jono onto Isomil and his runny tummy stopped so either he has a milk allergy or stopping the milk for a week has cleared his bug up. Will put him back onto Lactogen next week and see.

Alex is fine, trying to stand at every given opportunity so going to get the walking ring out for him this weekend, can you believe 5m almost already, wow the time is flying!

Looking forward to the royal wedding tomorrow, makes me wish I was back home for all the hype!
