Hi gals,
Suhaila- thank you for your reply and advice. I'll try to wait out another 4 looooooong months and see if things get better with C. It just flippin tough and at this point I'm starting to wonder if I'm not the one who's gonna need therapy LOL I must say this afternoon something changed, not sure what but he started to smile at me without getting nasty and even called for me by name (well mommy) to fetch him food and drink which is a HUGE improvement. Although he did take a step too far this morning and hit me and tell me to f**k off, I was flabbergasted we don't say things like that at home so he must have got it at school but he said it so in context which is what worries me because that means he hears it a lot. So after a stern discipline and little talk about it that was when he started to behave a bit better towards me.
Yvette- hope your spit braai went well! I'm fine hun just super busy and I manage to read with 1 hand but replying is a little tricky with my limited time. These 3 boys have me run off my feet. Glad Emmi has started to settle a little bit, sorry you have to go do a training day
I wanted to give my opinion on the steralization although I must warn you it's going to be an honest some people may not like: If when you wonder if you're ready for steralization you look so deeply into reversals then I don't believe you are ready. You can't look at it as a permanent yet reversable method of contraception because you've not made your mind up about more children. When you make the choice to have the steri you have to be sure you don't want more kids. YES thankfully it is reversable should one change their mind years down the line but that shouldn't really be an option at the time of choosing to have the procedure done. If you're concered about an oopsie now but might want more kids you need to just be very careful and double safe I'm sure those women on the mirena who fell pregnant weren't using condoms too? So just use both. As for comments that it's easier pfor the man to have the Vasecomy?????????? Why???????? I don't understand the difference? Yes it might have a higher reversal success rate but seriously the op itself can't be easier? It's very painful and uncomfortable for a man, I can only speak for myself of course but my steralization was really not bad, I was a little uncomfortable for the rest of the day but I was fine after that and busy DTD again a week later. We all complain how men can't even handle a common cold yet we presume that a vasectomy is easier than a TL? Someone once said to me "well I had the children he can go through some pain and have the V" is a relationship really about tit for tat? My hubby offered to have the V but 2 things made me stand up and say no I'll have the steri, 1 I have seen men who had a V and trust me it's the end of the world! And 2 I REALLY REaLLY REALLY don't want to be pregnant ever again, if something were to happen that I ever had to re marry I still don't want more children and he may well not have had a V already. At least this way whatever happens in my life I cannot get pregnant again. I have said though, should I win the lottery I may decide to have a LG but it wouldn't be through means of natural TTC because my odds aren't in the favour of concieving LG's so I would have the sperm wash and an AI to ensure I get a girl and then my tubes being tied will not be an issue anyway.
Welcome Tanya and Corgan! Wow what a little fighter! 3kg already! Wow he's doing wonderfully! 3m in NICU must have been tough, I'm presuming though that Corgan was your 1st born so you could at least give your full attention to him in NICU? Some photies please? My one LB was born at 3 whole times that of Corgan and he was tiny enough so I can just imagine how teeny tiny Corgan was!
I am Vix mom of 3 boys, C 2 and a half and Alex and Jono 4.5m old twins. I stay in Benoni JHB but am actually from England, I moved here 5 years ago nearly.
