Esmari- hope your SIL is alright, so good of you to be there for her. The wait until Wednesday is going to be very long for her. Does her DH only get back in 2 weeks.

Glad you never had to wait too long at the hospital. Yay on the VBAC. I'm sure baby will turn. I have just had my 36 week appointment and baby turned. My gynae now not very optimistic about me having a VBAC He says that baby is already 3.1 kg and should weigh more than Matthew, who weighed 3.64 at birth and got stuck. Also he said I won't be able to have an induction, so hope I get contractions this time.

Rakker - how are you feeling now? When do you start ML?

MsDee- your gynae sounds awful...and gynae should know better than to say things to make us worried...hope DH is with you next time.

Karien- gee you wait long for gynae. I have had the same gynae with both pregnancies and I have never waited really. He is always on time and really if I have once waited 5 mins that is long. Granted he does not give lengthy consultations. 15 mins- then the next lady goes in.. Wonder how he gets it right, and he is always busy.

Solo- I also had a chuckle about the "beep, beep". I probably would have been peeved at the time- but your BF is certainly original!

AFM - got a couple more goodies yesterday, mattress for the cot and some linen stuff. Where are the on line shoppers doing their shopping. I must admit that I never used to be a shopper, but once I get started then I do enjoy it.

Karienh & Solo, LOL! That's me! I find myself feeling like i'm bothering people when i question or demand good service, & yes, i have found myself apologising & only to want to kick myself afterwards! I've seen a lot of women with the same problem, but i am yet to meet a guy like that!

Solo, I'm sorry i laughed a bit on the "Beep, beep, beep". SOmetimes it's either you laugh or cry! Re: the trimesters if you look on your ticker (The big one) it tells you when each trimester starts and ends). I think yours says your 3rd trimester will start on the 12th April.

Esmari I'm praying for your SIL. She is lucky to have you for support.

MsDee I also got the "Baby's head is big" story from my gynae. I wonder if it's just convenient for them to convince us to have a csec? Sorry that you had such a terrible gynae visit.

Karienh I'm the same - far too nice and I battle to assert myself in conflicts. I was brought up to be too nice... And yes, I always want to kick myself afterwards.

Kasia, it's not nice to be alone while dh is away but we are all here for you. BTW I'm from Gauteng, sorry.

Betty_F my back is still very sore. It's making me extremely irritable and miserable. But what can I do? It's only for another three months.
As I said to MsDee, I'm also heading for a csec if my gynae has his way. I do think that they like their elective csecs, it makes their lives soooo much easier.

On the subject of feeling like a whale...
BF has L shaped couches in the lounge with a longish ottoman at the end of one couch which move up and we use to make the L shaped couch square. (Hope this makes sense!) This way we can both lie down and watch TV. I always get the side that is next to the wall. Anyway after a toilet trip last night, I sat down next to his feet (between him and the wall) and then I started scooting up into place so I could lie down. As I was scooting backward etc he started "beep...beep...beep...beep...beep...beep...beep" Just like a reversing truck! Well I collapsed. It was hysterical! I tried not to let it hurt me - just to take it as it was - I am huge and am battling to get around!

BTW when does the third trimester start? At 27 weeks or 28 weeks?

Esmari, so glad you had a great scan and quick visit to the dr. I have a private dr, and we mostly wait at least an hour.

I'm really sorry for your SIL and can't even imagine what she must be going through. Am praying for her.

MsDee, that really sucks! And then he let his fight influence your appointment! I wish I also had more courage to stand up with things like that. I'm absolutely horrible at conflict. I had to take my car back to the mechanics for the second time after a service earlier this week and I just can't fight with them - I go there with the best of intentions and then end up apologizing for bothering them again. And then I'm so angry at myself afterwards!

@Kasia, It's not so lekker being pregnant and the one person you want to share this experience with the most just can't be there. Hubby used to travel a lot but luckily he doesn't do overseas trips that much anymore, it was only the one this year, all the others are within the country. But i've also told him from May, it will have to stop for a while.

So i had a gynae's appt from hell yesterday. First off it started about 30 minutes late, during which time i was sitting there, listening to a screaming match between my gynae & his secretary, i am being serious. I was in shock, i could not even decide whether i should just get up and leave, but i work in the eastrand and had driven all the way to PTA! Not to mention the claim for the appt had already gone through (yes! they claim for all the patients with appts for the day in advance in the morning! Annoying!).

So anyway, i ended up having the shortest, most quiet scan ever! I so wished hubby was there cause he would never put up with such service!
All he said to me was it looks like your baby has a big head! I was like huh? Cause i was looking at the measurements, graphs and GA based on the different parts of the body & it was just the usual, some a few days over, some a few days under but nothing abnormal! & everything was still spot on on the graph!

After that he asked if i had questions & i was thinking what questions when i don't even know what i was looking at? All i said was what do you mean my baby's head is big?????!!!! & he was like no, it's not abnormally big, it's still on the graph, i just meant compared to the other body parts & i'm just concerned about whether he'll be able to pass through during birth. @ which point i tried to ask him about my birth options and he was like no, we'll discuss that after 36 weeks. He didn't tell me how much the baby weighs and in my rush to leave i forgot to ask. I smell a c section!!!

Ok, done already. Even had a spur brekkie and cuppachino!

Ok, baba perfect. Meassuring 25w on the dot. I asked them about vaginal birth, and they are willing. I have an app for 36w with them again, and if baba has turned, and my scar is still fine, they will let me! That was the best news ever! Just feeling a bit bad to be so happy with my sil and her problems.

Just a quick one as I have some catching up (work wise) to do.

Esmari, nice of you to be there for your SIL. Will be praying that there isn't something big wrong with baby. Keep us updated please.

AFM: Was on sick leave yesterday for a flipping cold. Wish I could stay at home another day, but I have so little time to finish off the work that I would like to complete before my ML. Just hope I can shake this cold before LG arrives.
