Solo and Esmari, you have beautiful bumps. My dh keeps telling me how big I am and I've decided to just enjoy it - it's part of pregnancy and I've always wanted to experience this so the bigger the better

BettyF, I know we wait long, probably too long, but what makes up for it is that when he finally sees you, he's very relaxed and takes his time. You never feel you have to hurry up because of the next patient.

Solo, I had heartburn in my throat at one stage, never lower down. It's horrible, but so is all heartburn.

I got my first set of nappies in the post yesterday - so excited! They're very soft and so cute. Can't wait for the rest.

Its my birthsday tomorrow and baby's 24th week! Me and DH are going for a 4D scan, and then a picnic with friends, and then dinner and a movie! I can't wait!

Betty_F sorry about Dr not being optimistic about the VBAC. Why won't you be able to have an induction?
I've registered with Reggies and Baby and Company as well as Pick n Pay. I only really use online shopping for treats from Woolies!! But I have used PnP once or twice before and it is wonderful to get home and have your groceries delivered, and in the days when I was fortunate enough to have domestic help, my wonderful Grace would also have unpacked my groceries for me!! Sheer bliss! Reggies and Baby and Company doesn't have a huge online selection, neither does the PnP baby section, but if you can't get to the shops for groceries...PnP online is the next best thing.

Oh my word, yes BF is very original and I have to admit that I was very peeved and upset - nearly in tears. My first reaction was to hang my head in shame. But with him around you can't feel sorry for yourself for long. So I put on my big girl panties and had a good laugh with him! As MsDee says, it's either a laugh or a cry situation, so I chose to laugh. Anyway I am a truck carrying precious cargo

Betty_F your gynae sounds amazing! You only wait for 5 mins and then you have a 15 min consult? Wonderful.
Hmmmmm. With my gynae, unless you have a first thing in the morning appt, you will wait for at least half an hour to 45 mins. My first appt I waited for an hour and a half. Then he sees three women at a time. His appt time slots are 15 mins, so basically they slot three women into this time. While the one is being weighed by the sister, another is undressing in his rooms for a pap smear (or whatever), while another is being scanned. Then he runs between the three of us. If we get 5 mins of his time we are lucky. Like a flipping conveyer belt. BF was stunned when he came with me for the amnio - of course his comment was something like "all these pregnant women - there is a lot of sex going on for the Dr to start at 7am and finish at 7pm!!" Of course I explained that not everyone here was pregnant, at which I got the "shame you poor women - what you have to go through!"

Does anyone have heartburn in their throat? It's the weirdest feeling of horrible burning, but only in my oesophagus and throat, not the terrible agony that you get with a hiatus hernia. Anyway Gaviscon puts the fire out.
