Everyone is so quiet!

Solo - tell me about the weight gain. Going to gynae today, so will find out my fate....
I also find that most of the weight that I put on is towards the end. I think because I can't move around and do much exercise anymore.

Esmari- yay on feeling better, how did your appointment go? Are you settled into your new house now? Is your ankle sorted out now?

MsDee- oh no- your DH is being insensitive. Making your decision harder. What does your dr say? I had a c sec with M, so I can't comment on things not going back into shape.. But I did really want a natural- at the time I felt like I had missed out on giving birth. Although now I know I was being silly. This time I will just follow gynae's advice.

TaNasha - tell me about wishing to be on ML already, but I am really trying to push through and to work for as long as possible so that I can be at home longer with Lg.

Afm - gynae appointment day has finally arrived, so looking forward to seeing LG on scan, and making sure everything is going well. About 3 weeks left for me now- that's if I go to 40 weeks- which I should if history repeats it's self. Best I start finishing hospital bag...

Hi gals! No personals today, sorry.

According to most mommies I talked to, 36 weeks is pretty much the stage where you think you can't take any more. And according to the gynae it is especially bad for those of us (like me) who got discount with the 1st baby and goes past that stage with the 2nd. So, for all the sympathetic ears, thank you. Today I feel much better and have made peace with the fact that I will have to wait about 4 weeks for my LG to be born. I mean, that is really not that much. I will probably go through a bad patch again, I know, but for now I am content to wait.

The gynae says there is still no sign of her being born early. She weighs 3kg now, so het growth has slowed down a bit. If she keeps to this pattern, she won't even get to 4kg at 40 weeks (please please please let her not go past that). Everything still looks perfect for natural birth. She is in the correct position, her head just above my "bekken" (heck, what is that in English?), so according to the gynae, she should engage within the next week or 2. Only if not engaged by 38 weeks, will she even talk about the alternatives. And she says that, even if LG is biggish, she is probably tall and skinny, as het femur length measures at 39 weeks already (I'm at 35 weeks, 5 days today).

So, I am in a much better place today, thank goodness. And my LG is still a flipping gymnast. Sometimes I wish she won't jump around this much, because it makes my insides feel all funny at times. And her darn foot under my right boob can really kick hard at times. But hey, I will probably miss it after she is born, so let me not even sound as if I am complaining.

Rakker cant believe youre 36 weeks! I understand you being gatvol, I am already, I just wish this baby could come already. I dont think pregnancy is my thing.

MsDee, Men! Have you calmed down abit?

Philipa i wil try the baking soda next time! I have had some really bad heartburn and nothing has helped!

Hello everyone else!

Not much happening with me. DH is in Zurich for work for a few days, so I am home alone. I am having trouble concentrating at work, I wish I could go on maternity leave already.

Morning

Oh i woke up angry this morning. All of a sudden i don't appreciate hubby's coments about how big i am. I feel like kicking his ^^s! & yes i hate him & blame him for all these changes in my body, it's not fair! the least he can do is not be a total pig about it! He had the nerve to say to me "men keep a lot to themselves to spare their wives feelings, so if you go natural & things never go back into shape down there of course i won't say anything. What will be the point?"

So i'm thinking, i'll wait for him to fall asleep and ...

Sorry, no personals until i calm down...

Bliss today, the constipation finally gave way this am. Thank goodness. Gonna have some apple juice, some raw carrots and apples too. Just incase.

MsDee, I understand your frustration. Remember this: Our bodies were created and designed to give birth naturally! Society has planted this doubt in our minds and made us scared! Good luck in your decision.

Solo, how is the pain? This is also something to consider when you decide about your birth option. If your back is going to give you trouble or not during labour.

Rakker, I hear you. I remember feeling exactly the same by 36w. But this time I will not moan, cause I dont want him to come before 38w. My lg was just too sick.

Afm. Have my app at the hospitals high risk clinic. So not looking forward. Thats the thing with government. Long wait.

OMW OMW I've just been for my gynae check up and I nearly broke the scale. I have picked up 6kgs this month! I can't believe it. I don't know how it happened, and now I feel so depressed. Sigh. I'm not eating for two or eating like a horse. Even BF is concerned that i don't eat enough, but I can't eat much because the baby is taking up all the room in my tummy and after two bites I feel absolutely stuffed. Oh dear. I am NOT going to tell BF how much weight I have picked up, he keeps on commenting about how fat I am. Darn it all.

Rakker I read some of those birth stories and they are beautiful. So I am keeping my mind open now about the birth. I did ask Dr this morning and he said that it's too early to tell for sure whether I can do the natural thing, but he did say that I am carrying a big baby and that my age might also affect the chances of natural. He might just be pro csec... I need to do some research and if he is pro csec then I might need to rethink my choice of gynae.
LOL at hiring a golf cart. Online shopping is looking good right now

Esmari, did your lg's tooth fall out? How much does the tooth fairy give these days?
Hope the heartburn has subsided.

AHA - the kicking is wonderful, but sometimes the " hick ups" are aggravating. My LG seems to be moving less now, probably due to lack of space.

Thamu- I woul also have cancelled the trip... Hectic to be flying so late in pregnancy. Glad your nursery is taking shape. So much to do!

MsDee- good luck with the birthing decision. I have decided that I will be guided by my gynae. I will start natural, if possible, and then if need be have a c section.

Solo- sorry you are in such pain... Hope you do get some relief.

Rakker - hang in there, hope all goes well tomorrow, let us know.

We had a good weekend. Visiting friends, braying and then on Sunday did some much neede shopping for hospital bag mainly. I still need to get new linen and a stand for our Moses basket.

Dh moved the furniture into the nursery, still need to make more space in the cupboard, but at least I made a start.
