Gosh Milan, R1200 for a gynae visit is VERY steep!! And here we were moaning coz we have to pay R700 everytime we go for our appointment! We also have had to limit the number of times we go for visits as it really exhausts our ma savings Plus we have a toddler who needs to go for paeditrician visits as well so that too needs to be taken into consideration... My DH was complaining about a tooth ache the other day and that he really needed to go to the dentist so I told him to take a panado and stick out the pain till next year when we get new savings again

Milan? That is crazy expensive! My gyni only charges R300 a visit, and then twice for a scan. But he has never charged me for a scan, probably cause he knows that I dont have a ma? And wow on babas sex changing. Will update the list again tonight when I have dh laptop. Not lus for the hard chair in front of home pc.

Hi everyone, I have been following everybody on my BB (not sure how to reply/post from my bb) but hey im sure Ill figure it out. As for me and baby things has changed since the last time I've posted on the forum. Esmarie, since you are updating the list, please note that Im no longer expecting a boy, it is now a girl??? Yay, I already have 2 boys! so I was really supprised. Due date still 23 July.

My 20 weeks downs tests came back showing a high risk for trisomy 16/17. I had an amnio done and luckily the tests came back showing that our little baby is perfect....but is indeed a girl and not a boy.

The amnio was unfortunately paid from my day to day benefits....which means that I my medical savings have been depleted completely and I would not be able to visit my gynae as regularly as i would like to...since he charges R1200 a visit and would like to see me weekly from 30 weeks on.....I just dont have the money to pay his rates.

I am going for a free 4 D tomorrow morning and hopefully will have a glimpse of my little angel !!! Cant wait!!

Seems like a couple of us have app thursday? Mine is at 12. Cant wait to see my baba again. He is such a busy baby!

Anyway, I officially know someone who had 2 vba2c! Her first 2 were emergency sections, last 2 were vaginal. So theres hope for me. Just hope this little man turns the right way!
I feel so tired these days. 3d trimester not that easy!

Esmari, I love the bump. So cute, esp the 26 week one. I don't think it has grown from 26 wks to 28 wks though.

Karienh, I had bought some clothes at an Edgars sale but after i got a ton of clothes from my sister i returned everything! Enjoy the sorting.

Rakker, i really enjoyed reading your birth story.

So i went to healthworx to get my urine test (Can't believe they don't have a scan!). Results came back clear, was just told to drink lots of fluids as the colour does suggest that i maybe dehydrated. I still see no change, but i'm drinking as much as i possibly can. I haven't seen any evidence of the mucus plug since last night , but i'm driving myself crazy listening to every cramp or minor discomfort. Can't wait to see the gynae on Thursday.

And as i was taking a shower yesterday, guess what i see? Yep, two tiny dark spots on my left hip. I actually thought maybe i had bumped into something but something told me it was stretch marks & when i checked the other side, there were two more dark spots! When i went to have a look on the mirror, there they were, about 5 thick short stretch marks on either side! & this morning they were more visible:( & i realised i had gained 3 more kgs, in just under a week! Such a sad day!!!

Thsepy!! Congratulations!!!! Glad you are both well! Can't wait to read your birth story.
So that is four babies already. Phew. I'm starting to think I must get my hospital bags packed...

Rakker how awful for you to have such a terrible experience and then to be treated so badly at Wilgers. Hope you are ok now. Funny how doctors never believe how bad things are until you prove it.

AFM I had a fall on my driveway this morning. My ankle gave way underneath me. I'm very shaken and sore and grazed my knees and elbows like a kid!!! Baby seems to be ok, I will go to gynae if I feel anything strange. Do you think things should be ok? Is there anything I should keep an eye open for? I'm still shaking like a leaf. I'm so emotional recently, I just lay and then sat on the ground and started crying from the shock, and then I pulled myself together and did the whole ungainly getting up thing. That was nearly as bad as the fall!!! Shame, my 70 year old mother saw from the window and came rushing out to help me - not that she could do much, but she was there for me.
