My planning was to work until the 21st and then take the 26th leave, so I can still benefit from the public holidays up to the 27th. But now that I will be induces on Wednesday, she might as well come a little earlier so I don't have to go the induction route.

The caster oil thing actually just causes diarrhoea and then your uterus starts with some sympathy cramping. That can start labour, but the dehidration is a big risk and I don't think I want to cause myself diarrhoea . And last night I saw that the explanation is spot on. I had some tummy cramping, I think from something I ate. At night when I got up I also felt contractions, but not with regular intervals. After going for a session on the big white telephone, both the tummy cramping and the contractions stopped. I was so wishing this is it...

Thamu - thank you for the good wishes! When it comes to this stage, one really starts to count the days, and then the pregnancy starts to drag. That's why I have decided to keep busy rather and to continue working as long as I can.

Rakker - I read somewhere that the nipple stimulation should be done about 3 times a day and for about an hour each time. Fun!
I am not attempting any induction techniques just yet, as I would like baby to stay in until I go on ML- Which starts on 27 April- after that I am sure to be trying out all the old wives tales, although I am not sure I would go for the caster oil drinking one.,, yug.

MsDee- hope your heartburn subsides- these aches and pains are terrible. I had another leg cramp today, have not had one in ages, since I started taking the slow mag.

Yup, it can. Basically due to 2 things. Firstly there is something in semen that does something to the cervix (geez, I must go read again as I can't remember the specifics) and having an orgasm also helps. And of course if you include some good old nipple stimulation in the mix, you have 3 things that can help. I will go and read some more to get the details.
