Oh my Le-Andre!!!! Talk about a horrible curveball!!! Now what I thought was my HUGE devastating curveball seems so trivial! Facing your DH's or child's mortality must be the most terrifying experience in the whole world!

Yes....hhhmmmmm... the fineprint....where do I start? The most shocking thing for me was that all the most well-meaning people are really only well-meaning when the baby is cooing and smiling and fed and smelling like roses. When the SH*T really hits the fan, THE BUCK STOPS SQUARELY WITH YOU. Don't care how sweet your DH is, he's still a man and can/will still snore through the baby's cries at night whereas with u, the smallest peep and you're up in a split second! It's like the instant u become a mom, u lose the ability the sleep thru the smalles PEEP, W'sup with that? There've bn times when I would've HAPPILY slept thru the baby's little moans cos sometimes i find she might have fallen back to sleep were it not for me jumping out of bed to check on her.

Also the BIGGEST LIE I've heard and it should be ILLEGAL to allow books/doctors/nurses/prenatal class people etc etc to keep on perpetuating this IMPOSSIBLE-TO-FOLLOW-ADVICE giving moms all over the world false hope is "SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS!!!" When the baby sleeps, that's the only time you can do things for your SURVIVAL like: EAT before you collapse; BATH before DH leaves u for being a smelly slob; GO TO THE LOO before your bladder (or worse) bursts...etc etc etc. THAT'S what you do when the baby sleeps!!!

So we had a difference of opinion on Monday eve, then yesterday Dh & J goes to water the garden, whilst mommy quickly does mommy things inside.

They come back with 2 pink roses for me. I think that this ice queen is melting :woohoo:

 RM, after all our drama and the constant argueing. Both Dh & I are strong willed and he like s to be in control of our house. So I let him ;) or maybe he thinks he is

He asks me: Do you want a freakin award for being a mother???WTF! Did he not go through the same year I just did? I brushed it off as depression, emotion , anxiety, whatever as the doc warned that he would be moody on cortizone!

So now that we've made peace, he get 's me a trophy from Joshua. It reads: To the best Mommy in the World, I love you... Joshua

So they know exactly how to melt my heart. ;)

No rest for the wicked:

I get home with 2nd baby - after what can only be described as a difficult pregnancy - and a sore c-section, she is born on Monday night, on Friday morning I am walking with baby, and c-section up Jamieson fekn steps to go to DH's award ceremont.

I then had to go and attend the after award ceremony function as well - I am exhausted, trying to break the capsule containers of the pain meds so I can sniff them up to get them to work quicker - all with a 4 day old!

3rd baby - born on Wednesday, I get home on Saturday from hospital - c-section and I feel like a bus hit me. DH has arranged that we go out for dinner wtih friends. So me, my 2 kids + my 4 day old baby out for dinner with friends. But then he invited others over for Sunday lunch!

I kid you not, I need an award for not shooting him dead!! He STILL cannot quite see the problem!

Now I cry when I want to and if anyone asks why I say because I want to!

I'm done putting up the brave face - crying in the hospital parking lot or in the driveway at home. Then pull myself towards myself, put on some makeup and smile for my Dh(in hospital) or for J and the family(at home).

Some days I wanna run away to an island have my child play in the warm waters and on the sandy beach whilst mommy has that much needed drink. And of course, Dh half naked next to me. ;) Maybe I should buy my lotto ticket this weekend. Or any other suggestions?
