Oktober & November 2011 Mammas

Hi there all!

I'm new to this website. Heard about it from my friend.
Really not sure how it works, so I'll give my information and hope that I get some help as to what to do to start chatting with some of you

I am 24 years old, I stay in Port Elizabeth. I have an 18 month old girl -Bethany
and a 4 month old boy - Jason.

Jason was born on the 11 Oct 2011. He weighed 3.2kg and was 50cm long.

I'm a stay at home mommy and looking for company:)

Any help would be great!!

Sorry i have been so quiet,

Did not know having a baby and working could keep you so busy. But i love being a mom would never change it for anything.

Riley is doing really well, He is just over 4 months. such a little star. he can roll Back to tummy. gets really upset cos he can't get roll back on his back.
He had his shots on Saturday he weighs 7.5kg and is 68cm tall.

going to do some reading to find out how all your little ones are.

Chanz you spoke to soon it has been quiet all week! How did it go with the fruit puree? Are you looking forward to your getaway? Do you take M for a swim too?

Congrats on Sion doubling his birth weight. when i first read about Sion noticing his hands I didn't know what you were talking about by Kylie did the same this morning hahaha and it was the cutest thing ever....she just staaaaaares at it! Hi Gracious nice of you to pop in and congrats on the birth.

AFU - Kylie is doing so so well she hasn't repeated her 8 hour sleep but she was sleeping great and only waking up once a night, but the past 3 nights she woke up twice so I hope that is not a new habit. The other night she vomited so badly and I am not sure if it was because I gave her formula or is it because she just had too much food. I gave her 70ml of EBM and I knew that wouldn't be enough so also made her a bottle of formula (she drank about 80 ml of that) but she vomited then I BF her because she lost almost half her feed (normally she drinks about 125 ml of EBM) and then she vomited severely after that. I had to go and shower waited about half an hour and then bf her again and that she kept in and slept fine. Also yesterday and this morning she has been drinking the normal EBM and no vomiting so I am pretty sure it was the formula I just don't know if it was just too much or the actual formula that made her sick and I am too scared to try it again cause I don't want her to vomit like that ever again

Other than that she is doing really well I am starting to notice a bit more of a routine in her day sleeping and we are starting the night routine of bath feed and story time.....although she is still sleeping in our room I am going to start phasing her out in about two weeks.

Oh ja and she also went for her 10 week vaccines last week and handled it like a champ cried allot with the actual injections but fine 10 minutes later. No fever that night just a bit niggly. She has also almost doubled her birth weight she now weighs 4.9kg's.

my toddler started pre school last week but is already having flue, i just hope she didnt get it @ pre school.

i am sorry i cant catch up now. i just wanted to update. this little baby of mine sleeps a lot during the day n sleep very late in the evenining

Deja- so bly Sion doen so goed en geluk dat hy so mooi gewig aan gesit het Dis die grootste plesier om te sien hoe hulle ontwikkel. Elke dag leer hulle iets nuuts.
Ek het gehoor daar is 'n mamma en baba groepie hier, het gesien dis meestens "toddlers" maar ek sal hierdie Woensdag dit probeer en net hoop daar is nog babas hierdie jaar. Hierdie groepie word by ' kerk gehou.
Geluk met jou nuwe tydskrif, het die foto op FB gesien, dit lyk stunning. Seker baie harde werk.
Ek se juis gister vir my man ons is bevooreg om familie so naby te he. Dit kan partykeer regtig help. My ouers is mal oor Michael en doen altyd moete met hom.

Skitterling- I also used to do photos, actually my hubby and I both did. But then when M was in NICU, hubby dropped our camera on the floor and now it doesn't work. So we saving for a new camera but also not sure which one to go for. We have read the canon EOS range is quite nice but we also love the quality Nikon produces with photos. Any advice? We love visiting nature reserves and game reserves and thats where we love taking photos.
Enjoy your visit with your friend. So glad to hear M is doing so well with the potty training. Hard work but worth it in the end.

I was so upset now LOL. Hubby was working this morning so I decided to cook some "boere kos" and bake a yummy choc cake. The boere kos came out so lekker but the cake was a flop LOL. Came out divine, the flavour was great-moist and soft. But then when I sliced it in half it cracked, so when I iced it it started falling apart like an earthquake LOL. SO not impressed coz as a chef I have never had flops with baking. But to console myself I know its the oven, the thermostat is gone and the rubber seal doesn't seal. So guess its time to get this ancient oven serviced LOL

Anyway hope you all have a fab afternoon. Think we are going to swim now
