Hi Riffa, I have a loop, a bit sore to put in but no pain so far and had it done several weeks ago. Your periiod will be a bit heavier and sore, so best not do it if you have a heavy flow problem. It looks like a match, actually. They "implant" the foreign object in your uterus and that will automatically result in your womb rejecting anything else. Hope that makes sense

Paula, you seem to be in the same boat as me as our kids have a similar age gap! my little girl is 18 months and my little man is 4 months!

Claire, Jason is not huge.... HE IS MASSIVE!!! and seems to be growing by the day! And yet your little guy was bigger than him at birth:) Jason was only 3.2KG
Yes it is a small age gap.... needless to say it was not planned. ANd yet I wouldnt change it for the world. Yes my days are hectic but I have an amazing husband who helps tons and Jason is soooooo easygoing! how are your little ones doing? I hate it when my kids are sick... Jason had bronchitis two weeks ago... it was horrible!

As for my little man.... He is such a blessing. He is always smilling and giggling. HE LOVES his sister and at the moment has a huge fascination with ceiling fans.. he is constantly wanting to look up:)
He is rolling over from tummy to back..... with MUCH effort AND is finally sleeping through the night. I have finally found a routine that seems to be working for us both

I do have a question for you ladies. What are you all using for contraception?

I fell pregnant with Jason When I was on the Pill Yasmin.
I am now currently on Microval, cos Im still breastfeeding - but only partly so Im scared that we will fall pregnant again as Ive heard that this pill is only effective if you EBF. (imagine having a baby 3 years in a row )

My kids Dr has suggested I look into getting a loop inserted but have never heard of this..

Any other suggestions or info on the loop?

Quick intro for those that dont know me, Im Paula, Im 24, 2 kids Micheala 2 and Liam 4m. Living in the UAE (Dubai region) Grew up in SA but moved here when Micheala was a few weeks old.

Lindy, K is so so cute! Its amazing how one odd night out of routine can mess everything up. Hope it is better again now

Liz, such a cute pic! I always push the pram with one leg while doing the dishes....looks quite funny and amazing how they know EXACTLY when you stop! Ek het net so gesukkel met Micheala se vel, en dit het maande gevat om weer reg te kom. Ek gebruik nou net een room en een seep vir albei en ruil nooit en so ver geen probleme weer nie. Dink my probleme het gekom oor ek produkte geruil het heeltyd Sterkte vir jou en hoop sy velletjie is gou weer beter!

AFU, Liam is an absolute darling, rolls all over the place, giggles for everything (especially his silly sister) and is just the love of my life. Breastfeeding going well and he weighed 7.2kg at his last check up. Very active and busy and also sitting unsupported for about 3min now already. No complaints at all! *blessed mommy* Micheala is super busy and naughty at times, love her so much and she lights up my days, made new friends with her and we are really enjoying ourselves so much now.

Ok, its one so I better get in bed

Liz when do you go back to work?

AFU - we decided last night that we will be going to a friends place for the rugga and a braai (I mean how much damage can it do to not have a routine for one night ?) Well I tell you what, I will NEVER make that mistake again. We bathed Kk before we left at 6 as usual and then gave her a bottle and off we went. She was a wake at the braai for about half an hour and passed out. She slept the entire time while we were there but woke up when we left. I didn't mind this cause she was due a feed so we gave it to her when we got home battled a little to get her down but not too bad. Then she woke at 3am as usual but this time she ate and REFUSED to go back to sleep ! By 6 I was so grumpy and frustrated I could scream....anyway loooooong story short. I will NEVER ever break her routine ever again

Hope you are all well? I can't believe my little monkey is 3 months already! Time has flown! I've noticed that he still looks hungry after finishing his whole bottle the last week. Not sure if I should start giving him a little rice cereal once a day... he might also be going through a growth spurt. No other complaints! He has been sleeping through the night for the past week... Bliss!!

Chanz - wow, Michael is realling growing now! Can't believe he is already so advanced on the solids!
