Dec 2011/ Jan 2012 Mommies to be !!

Hello everyone
Long time no see! We've had a hectic time with my MIL in hospital.
HD took my FIL every afternoon from Velddrif to Cape Town for a visit. She'll probably be coming out this weekend,so just a little more waiting.

All is going well with me except I still cannot face any food! Lost almost 5 kg now. Hope thats not bad for baby. At least I fit into pants that didn't for a long time!

I cannot wait for the next scan because at this time it feels like I'm dreaming. I don't feel pregnant exceptfor the nausea. Yes my boobs are huge and sore and all that stuff, but I just cannot picture a baby growing inside of me. Although we talk about it regularly it feels like we're discussing someone elses precnancy. So I cannot wait to see peanut again just to see he/she is fine and realy there.

Maureen, we also decided to wait a while to tell, but I couldn't resist, so I aslo told the take away woman!

Euphre7 I carried the twins in January and at that stage we lived in KAkamas......very hot! I joined Johan in his blowup pool. Looked like a hippo!

Glad its going well with all you other ladies.

Guys, you know how it is, I am just hoping and wishing that the coming summer will be bearable. There is nothing worse than being pregnant during the hot summer months of November and December / January, I remember with my first born, he was born in January and, by that time, I just counted how many days till birth!! I was so sleepy, so tired all the time and definitely wanting the pregnancy to be over.

So glad I have no preference of the sex this time! We wanted a girl and we have her...anything more now is a bonus:)

Euphre7...dh also doesnt want to find out the sex this time, but I am too inquisitive...so we'll see how it plays out.

Maureen my birthday is 23rd December..10 days apart:)

Thank you, only thing is, I want the sex of the baby to be a surprise, until she is here.

Euphre - welcome - my birthday is on the 13th of December. Good luck. We are in the same boat wishing for girls. Hope our wishes come true.

Also new here, this year, am expecting little one on December 13th, second pregnancy and not as bad as the first one. Hubby and I planned this one so, it's a real excitement for both of us. Been reading some of the extract and I can say, that I so relate.

Hope everyone's pregnancy goes smoothly. So far, things are fine, had two scans already, baby is very active, hoping for a girl this time as the first born is a boy.

Just one question, does one need to have a scan every time you go to the GP:?
