HI gals
I was sitting in the gynae waiting room and i thought to myself, finally.... its my turn.. it just felt like a long wait to see if baby is there and okay and for me to confirm i am ACTUALLY doing this!!
so there I was , and I could finally see MY blob!! so awesome..and i really do feel blessed. Strong hearbeat 174 beats - too stunning to hear and the little bean is 1.2cm

teeeny tiny!
According to the size, I am about 7.5 weeks not 8 as we thought, so it pushes my due date to 9 Jan..
Due to my slightly high glucose and insulin levels, my gynae warned that if I miss my meds, the baby can miscarry!!!! so until 12 weeks, to be extra vigilant and after 12 weeks the baby will be viable enough to cope without the meds EEEk, little bit scarey, but I have been taking them everyday twice a day and will just make sure that i do!! so feeling very happy today!
Sad sad sad news is that my gynae is not doing so well. The receptionist told me when we were alone ( my appointment was 45 minutes late) so he has TERMINAL cancer.. in both lungs and the receptionist says the doctors prognosis is not good... I did NOT have the heart to even ask if that means I will need another gynae for the birth!! but time will tell and there are at least 2 other gynaes at the same hospital that i could consider, so more than anything, I felt DEVASTATED for him. My doctor LOOKS well, he is only in his late 40s or early 50s and has FOUR children of which the youngest is 10.. so its really a sad thing. Luckily the receptionist says he refuses to believe that its terminal and is doing anything and everything in his power to fight it.. however, she did say that his family who live overseas are all coming over individually to spend time with him, so that didnt sound good... and this all started when i asked if he goes away for holidays every year, and she responded, well no, i dont think this year... but!!!
Any hoo - Next scan is 1 June so lets get excited!
