LauraKim - I am not sure if it is your third and because you are older. I found my pregnancy with Isabelle really hard work.
I can remember the pregnancies with Connor (Very Easy) and Georgia (Hard) but with Isabelle, I felt like my body was pushed further than it could go.
I was literally more exhausted than I had ever felt - I spent many evenings sitting in the bath leaning over with my head on the side of the bath weeping because I was sure either she would die, or I was going to die, but there was just no way I could get through this.
I seriously put it down to getting older, and already having two running around - and working full day - and an inability to say no to nothing, so I was pushing myself hard and I really felt quite dead most of the time.
Isabelle was born 10 June, I skipped my reunion which was in May, as I could not see me on a plane to JHB and then to connect to Kimberley (planes do not fly direct CT to Kimberly - who knew!!??) I knew that would be the last straw and I would end up giving birth somewhere in an emergency.
I think I was more nervous, because I felt I knew more about what could go wrong, and what was at stake.
The entire pregnancy I was very much in my head most of the time, and was more anxious and stressed than I can ever remember being.
<though nothing was wrong, and in medically I had a 'perfect' pregnancy>
I was also convinced she would come early and tried to never be far from the medi-clinic and my Dr.
Every OBGYN visit, I thought he was going to look, and go: 'wow, you are 47cm dilated, let's take you upstairs immediately and just get this little girl straight out, okay!'
After she was born - I turned to K and said, I really want a 4th, but I will never survive another pregnancy, let's just adopt .... another baby will kill me.
I seriously have never felt my body go further than it did during that pregnancy - I was amazed at how far my stomach pressed out, I was amazed at how everything was so frkn sore all the time, and I was amazed that I survived day to day .....
LK - Good luck chick, the end is in sight, and I hope it is all happiness and foot massages from here on in.
