Morning Everyone :cheer:

2kidmamma, I will try the Chinese Calender and let you know. Is your Son better now? It is so amazing to feel the baby move. I cannot wait to feel it again.

Firefly, Glad that your scan went well. I also don't feel like buying anything until I don't know what the gender is. The neutral clothes are not as nice. I am really hoping that I would be lucky to find out on the 12th of December otherwise I am going to have to wait until January! And that feels so long to wait. Prams did get really expensive here. I nearly collapsed when I saw a normal pram go for R8 000!

MariBiscuit. Sounds like you are also really busy. With your boxes gone, it must feel real now. How are you doing?

Sweett86, Congratulations on the boy. You are lucky to find out so soon. How was your busy weekend?

DTS, I hope you feel better soon! Good luck, it seems long but 12 weeks is just around the corner!

Ronel, Hope you're exam went well.

Champers, Sounds like you had a great time. You must give me youre facebook name, so that I can look you up. How is the week treating you?

On my quiet weekend, it was never gonna be so quiet. Went shopping with my mom on Saturday,( and can that woman shop), had a braai with them and my sister and brother the evening. Sunday went to lunch with my parents and my sister and then some more shopping!

Yesterday I took my parents to the airport. They are flying out to the US. Having a quick stop over in New York, I am sssoooo jealous! Hubby and Lene are still visiting. I am really starting to miss them. But at least the house stays clean and I don't have to cook. I am still pretty busy at work, but only 8 more working days and then HOLIDAY. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

My sister took a scan yesterday. My word, this is the busiest baby. The baby actually looked like a jumping bean! I was lucky and even got to see 5 tiny fingers on the one hand. It was the best scan ever, I can't remember that I had such a great scan with Lene. If it is any indication, I think I should get plenty plenty of rest....

Hi ladies

According to the chinese gender predictor I am having a girl. For those that have already found out the sex of your baby, I would be very interested to know if this is the result on the calender. According to the chart it's accuarate for my Son, the date says I would have a boy and I did and according to the dates I have for my Daughter it is also correct so here's hoping!!

Wohooo Firefly for hitting 12 weeks. I must say I am also sorely hoping for that 2nd trimester boost of energy to kick in and also to dump this MS for good. geepers, sounds like quite a sale wtih the "Black Friday" sales. I am seeing it all over the net as well. Looks like huge savings.

I honestly cannot wait for our holiday to start. Our office is closing on 15 December, I must actually put in my leave today. I think I will only come back on the 10th of December but maybe i can stretch it to the 15th.

I keep feeling the baby move which is nice. It's really small little movements like flutters but there non the less. I was watching some good videos on babycentre this morning, thought I would send the link on to you all to have a look at them.

Hi Ladies :)

Champers - I hope your ms actually stays away now! I finish on 19 Dec and then back to campus on 3 Jan (they don't take nice long Christmas breaks here). I have another week off in March but that's it in terms of holidays.

2kmm - sorry that you had a bad ms weekend :( How did your Friday night go with the kids? Whooohooo :woohoo: for 12 weeks! (same to Ronel and Sweett86). I hit 12 weeks tomorrow but I don't feel any different yet. I'm waiting for the 2nd trimester energy to kick in and I hope it comes in time to help me finish my 5 essays and write my 2 exams!

Adele - Did you enjoy your quiet weekend? Hopefully you didn't feel too lonely.

Sweett86 - how was your party weekend?

Ronel - how was your exam? I hope you manage to find out the sex at your next scan - our ultrasound technician said that by 14 weeks you can usually tell.

dts - I am sorry about your ms! All I can say is we know how you feel. The only advice I can give is to keep trying lots of different foods - there is nothing that worked to stop mine or that I even managed to keep down consistently. I went through different stages of eating limited things selectively: crackers, ginger ale, salt & vinegar crisp, ginger biscuits, oranges, lemon slices with salt, baked potato. Fruit and veg (mielies, cucumber, melon) have probably been best for me and it's getting better slowly (although I've been pretty much vegetarian since 5 weeks). So keep trying and hang on - it does get better!
I'm 12 weeks and have a tiny little bump but am not really showing yet, though some of my pants are getting uncomfortable.

I went for the "first look" Down's screening today which was awesome because we got a nice ultrasound session. The baba was extremely active and didn't want to sit still for the technician. I am dying to know the sex so I can start buying stuff but the doctor didn't want to hazard a guess just yet - he said that even if he did guess he wouldn't want us buying stuff based on it. It's SO frustrating because the Black Friday sales here are amazing and you can get really cute baby clothes for like $5 (R30) - some even buy one get one free. And there is NOTHING gender neutral!

Dts: Sorry you haven’t been feeling great. I also suffered from piles. It was actually my first pregnancy symptom. So painful and uncomfortable. Its only now started to ease up. Nausea has also started to subside. Finally…. Although, everytime I say that it comes back. Good luck with the next scan. So exciting!

Chantel0912: Yay on your first scan!! Go ahead with the biltong. Absolutely no probs this side. I can’t get enough of the stuff :-D

AdeleF: Thanks so much honey! We had such a great party. Find me on FB, all pics are there. He had so much fun and he got so many lovely pressies. It must have been so special to watch Lene on stage. I can’t wait for that. Did you enjoy your alone time?

Sunrise: HELLO MY ANGEL! How are you? Yes I’m pregnant, can you believe it. It wasn’t planned and it was quite unexpected. Especially after all the trouble the first time. How are things with you? Are you still TTC?

2KM: I’m with you on not having time to catch up with everyone. Oh my gosh that must have been so scary and upsetting. I’ve never had to deal with that and would probably go to hospital. How is he now? Congrats on the mag! That’s so exciting for you and the business. Superb news on feeling your babe move. Love it!

FireFly: When do you finish for the year? I have no idea how you stay awake during lectures. Madness… Sorry that you didn’t have the best ThanksGiving. I can just imagine how you felt. We have a pram but the issue is it doesn’t fold very flat so takes up the entire boot of the car. I’ve seen some that are very compact. We are going to have to look at getting a double pram now.

MariBiscuit: Sjoe! That is a lot of work to do all that packing and then dealing with your LB waking so often. Does he wake to feed or just wake up?

Sweett86: WHHHAAAAAA HOOOOOO! Boys ROCK! Congrats. That is superb news. Sorry that the baps are sore. Hope they start to feel a bit better soon. How did the baby shower go? And a fancy dress, that is a lot of work. What did you go as?

Morning all

Just popping in to say a quick hi! Hope the weekend was a good one. My MS really bothered me this weekend, throwing up and all. It was really bad.

Well I am so glad that I am 3 days short of 12 weeks, infact delighted. the pregnancy always goes fast from about 12 weeks. Plus hopefully it will signal the decrease of the MS.

Been thinking about christmas presents etc but just don't seem to get excited about it because then i just start thinking about my Dad and him not being there this year.

Yesterday I got to play doll with my cousin's new baby Logan. He is 4 weeks old and too gorgeous. So tiny!

Anyhoo hope you are all well? Will catch up again later.
