Firefly, if I could recommend it I would say the Peg or Inglesina or any Umbrella folding travel System. They are just the best.

Maribiscuit - yay that by Monday you won't have to worry about packing!

2kmm - sorry that your ms is back :( we're in the same boat. I REALLY hope mine is gone by Christmas - we don't celebrate Christmas but I know I won't manage the cooking smells if I still have ms. We're looking into going away for Christmas so I'm hoping to avoid cooking smells altogether! Good luck looking after the kids tonight - if I were you I think I might just skip the bath for one night (depending on how dirty they are) and just wipe them down with a cloth and dress them?

The smell is STILL lingering but I'm feeling a lot better. It's "Black Friday" today - basically the post-Thanksgiving sales so we might try to do a bit of shopping. I've been browsing online and you can get things like babygrows for about $5 (R30) - I just wish I knew the sex of the baby so I could do some real shopping!

Does anyone have any advice on things like prams/travel systems? I remember a thread a while ago in the baby section and people were saying that they got more use out of lightweight strollers that folded easily.. so I'm looking at the Peg at the moment. Though we'll probably go to one of the stores and test them out. From what I can tell, the prices here are like half the price of prams back home so I definitely want to get one before we come home!

Had more feeling again today so now I know it's not just my imagination.

My MS is back again the last two days, I really feel rotton. Just wish it would go away now. DH is playing in a Golf day today so he is only going to be home late which means I have to look after both kids/ Feed/bath/dress/get to bed myself and I don't know how I am going to manage feeling this way.

@ Firefly, I am so sorry you had such a bad day with all the cooking from Thanksgiving but I can just imagine how those smells got to you. Hoepfully by Christmas you MS will be gone and you can enjoy the food then if you celebrate it in any way.

@ Maribuscuit, I have also been eating tons of Feta cheese and also had Sushi twice now so not to worry. When I have eaten meat it's been undercooked how I like it. I can't stomach overcooked meat. I havn't felt like biltong. I also eat scrambled eggs and they say you shouldn't unless they are cooked throuroughly, I HATE dry eggs.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Goodmorning everyone!

It's Friday and an awesome summer day in CT :)

Firefly..that smell sounds aweful!! Hopefully it's gone by now?
Unfortunately we had to do the packing alone, but we started about a month back and only packed a few boxes a night so it wasn't THAT bad. It's getting collected on Monday jippee!

2KM it's wonderful that you're feeling baby already!! I'm feeling NOTHING yet..it was so disappointing to look at the screen with our last scan and see baby move but feel nothing :( And I'm 16weeks already.
Congrats on the article!!

Sweet congrats on the BOY! :D Enjoy your busy weekend and hope you find something to wear.

Champers congrats on the weightloss. My scale is packed into a box so I'll only be able to know my weight again with my next scan in January! (or if I visit a friend I will ask for a scale haha)

Dts, isn't there creams that will help with hemorriods? Shame, hope it gets better soon!

Chantel I've been really bad this pregnancy..ate EVERYTHING so far..soft cheeses (brie, blue cheese) as well as wet biltong  I hope I don't regret it later on!!

Sorry for everyone I missed..hope you all have a great day and weekend!!

2kmm - how awesome! For the article and the movement :) So exciting that you're in the magazine, do you have the page? - I hope that it does boost your business. I'm also pretty excited that you are feeling movement as we're at the same stage - although you know what to look for coz you've already had 2 pregnancies.. the other day I felt an involuntary twitch, would that be movement? What does it feel like?

Sweett86 - YAY FOR THE BOY! :) We have an all blue team at the moment it seems. I have my downs scan on Monday so here's hoping that they'll be able to tell then! Glad that your ms is getting better, it's exactly like mine, good days and bad days. Sounds like you are hectic, good luck with the baby shower and the party, I'm sure they'll be fun! :)

MariBiscuit - hope you have family helping you guys pack? Sounds really tiring!. Hope it will go quickly :)

AFM - am having a difficult ms day today - it's Thanksgiving and SOMEONE in our building has been cooking since midnight last night. Usually we might catch whiffs of what our neighbors are cooking but this is different, it's like the smell (which is like the smell of onions being braised) is actually travelling through the central heating or something. Our ENTIRE flat, including the bathroom with the extractor fan, has been permeated. I woke up from my sleep thanks to this smell and then had a restless night. It's 4pm now and we can STILL smell it. Even DH is finding it difficult to tolerate and it is triggering my morning sickness horribly. Ugh!

We went out this morning just to get away from the smell but it's pretty cold and I get tired easily from walking around so we only managed about an hour and a half out of the flat. I'm now hiding out in my bed with windows wide open, air freshener on hand and baby powder sprinkled on everything. I'm praying that this smell goes away by this evening!!!
