Shame, it sounds like you're having a tough time with the heartburn and the restless legs and the teeth problems! I hope it gets easier for you. The salads you're trying sounds really interesting - especially the 7 layer one.

AFM: Week 13! I'm starting to feel a little better. I'm managing to eat a little more but ms is still around. Apparently some books only consider 14 weeks the end of the first trimester so I'm eager for 14 weeks to come!

Yes, I know it's very risky. My cousin had one done with her second pregnancy and she was on strict bedrest for a week and a half. She didn't have a toddler to contend with which does make it easier.

Yes the procedure has risks. This time I was scarred when I went for it. Even my doctor could tell. Just about a week before I went in I read a story where the lady lost her baby because she started leaking fluid after the procedure.
I have to take it easy now like resting as much as possible but its difficult with an ever active toddler who wants to be chased around everytime.

Hi Ladies,

Great to know everyone and the bumps are doing very well. Almost everyone is now past 12 weeks so if we are all lucky the MS will be subsiding as well but there will be other discomforts and aches that come. I for one occassionally get heartburn but its not bad and not something to complain about really.

I had the nuchal translucency scan on the 22nd of Nov and everything is okay. I also had my cerclage put in on the 30th and so far all seems fine. Its actually a bit better this time around, I had almost no bleeding just after the stitch was put in and very minimum discomfort down there probably because the cerclage was put in much earlier at 14 weeks. With my daughter I only got the cerclage at 17 weeks and I had some bleeding for the whole week and the discomfort lasted a lot longer.

My next appointment is the 22nd of Dec, I will be 17 weeks then. Hopefully we will find out the gender.

arghh, the Heartburn has set in! I was seriously hoping it wouldn't start as early this time. Guess I have to go by Gavascon on the way home.

Thanks for all the well wishes for my Husband. He is much better. We think he actually had a bout of Sun Stroke. he was in the sun the entire day on Saturday with the Potjie etc. Eventhough he pu sun screen on and didn't burn I think the combination of too much sun and probably about an entire bottle of Red wine through the course of the day it most likely just didn't agree with him. Then because Of his Migrane I gave him some Tramadols which my Mom had given me from stuff of my Dad's, I gave him 2 thinking they were like Miprodols and my Mom informed me the next day when I asked her about them that they have Morphine in them and you only need one. So technically I think I sent my husband on a Trip and by the sounds of things a small overdose of pills.

I was off yesterday because I didn't sleep the night before last because of Toothache and so I went to the Dentist yesterday and it turns out I had another Abscess and needed a Root Canal. Have to go back in two weeks to finish it. I am so sick and Tired of tooth issues. I feel like I have the worlds worst teeth.

Thanks AdeleF, business is still the same, I am trying what I can to motivate myself and make things go better but it hasn't started looking up yet. Some of my suppliers are also complaining it's very bad at the moment and I think there are even some contemplating ceasing to operate.

@ Firefly, sorry you didn't get to see your Bean. I really hoped you would. glad all looked fine with your tests though and you got the heartbeat.

I cannot wait for the Holidays, I am really super tired and just want a break now.

We do a cold meal at christmas and it's my duty to bring two salads. I am doing different salads this year. I saw two nice salads on shows on food Network so I am making those. One is a 7 layer salad that Paula Deen made and the other is a Mexican Summer salad from mexican made easy. I'm just bored with the usual Carrot & Pine and Potato Salad.
