Champers, when did you start feeling the baby move? I can't wait to actually feel something! Good luck with the cake and the party - you must be so excited to see DH.

FireFly: Thanks for enlightening me! I absolutely HATE turkey. Hope you manage to stomach some of good food!

AdeleF: So sorry about the heartburn you are suffering. Can't be pleasant. 10kgs! Oh my word. That's a huge amount of weight. And you want to loose another 10kg??? I'm sorry to hear about the fight. Unfortunately we tend to be over emotional and moody and DH's don't seem to remember all the time that we are pregnant.

I'm starting to feel baby more and more. Feeling the little kicks which is nice.

Rushing around like a mad thing. DH is back tomorrow after spending 2 weeks away for work. Have to sort out my son's 1st birthday party. His birthday is on Wednesday but party is on Saturday. Going to be my first attempt at a cake. Wish me luck!

I'm showing quite a bit now. Next week is my scan and hopefully we can find out the sex.

Have a great Monday night xxx

Oh no Adele, the heartburn is back?! I thought the Zantac was helping. You must be starving. Sorry about the fight with hubby. Well done on the weight loss, 10 kilos is a lot!

My visa is going to be a bit of a process, I need to apply for some extra things but hopefully it should all work out. It's quite silly though, my program ends on 24 May and my edd is 12 June - so practically speaking, I CANNOT travel because no airline will let me on a flight at that stage in pregnancy. I therefore HAVE to have the baby here and hopefully, if all goes well, we will be able to get back home as soon as the doctors say its okay to travel and maybe we could even make it out of the country by the 24th (particularly if the baby comes early.).

My only concern is if the baby comes late or there is some complications or something - I just want to make sure we're still here legally in case this happens and that we won't have issues getting papers and a passport for the baby.

Morning Everyone!

I woke up with lovely rain, I just wish I didn't have to go to work today ;)

Champers, hope you are doing well and that the MS will leave you now already!!!!

Firefly, Thank you so much for the list. Did you come right with your Visa? Enjoy Thanksgiving. You were right, Defending the Caveman was hilarious. I laughed until I cried!

I couldn't eat much this weekend. My heartburn was sssooo bad, that absolutely nothing helped. On the positive side. Since August, I have now lost 10kilos! yay. (But I still have a heck of a lot to lose, so I can't even see such a big difference. ) I want to try and lose another 10 over the next 9 months. Thinking of following Weigh-less's pregnancy formula. I have heard people doing really well on it.

I cannot really complain with this pregnancy. I have not had any serious MS and since I started drinking my thyroid meds, my energy levels are also almost back to normal. Right now, I don't even feel very much pregnant, except for the definate swelling at my lower abdoment. (not noticable, as I still just look fat - but at least I can feel it! )

Went to the wedding, was a beautiul service, but yet again couldn't eat at the reception as the heartburn was particularly bad. Had a huge fight with hubby, straight into Sunday! Sometimes....

Anyway, Lots of Love, hope everyone has a fabulous week!

The history here is really great - and they preserve everything so well. The park across from our building has little signs everywhere saying things like " Under this tree in 17.. George Washington rallied the troops for the civil war".

I don't think you're naive, the Americans have tons of strange holidays. From my limited knowledge of this, I believe that Thanksgiving is supposed to be in remembrance of the first pilgrims coming together and having a meal with the America Indians (the apparently ate turkey, which is the symbol of Thanksgiving). Though according to one of my professors, Thanksgiving was actually created by Lincoln because they wanted a holiday to bring people together after the civil war.

If I wasn't still averse to so many types of food, I might have tried my hand at some of "traditional" Thanksgiving stuff (turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie) but as it is, I'm still not ready to go back into the kitchen and am staying faaar away from all the Thanksgiving dinners my university is having.

Good to hear FireFly! Lets hope but I'm not holding my breath.

Wow sounds like you had a lovely time. I love visiting historical places, even if its a candy store. So much history. Its awesome.

What is Thanksgiving exactly? Giving thanks for what? Independance or something? Sorry for being naive.

You're welcome :)

Sorry about the spanspek :( funny, that is one of the things that helps my ms! Champers, I've heard of ppl having ms till 16 or 17 weeks and then it dying down, so there is still hope that it will end!

What is everyone up to this weekend? Yesterday, for the first time in about 5 weeks we actually left our suburb and did some sightseeing. We went with some friends to Salem (about 40 min from us) and walked around looking at the shops (they have the oldest candy store in America :)) and museums and had lunch next to the beach. I wanted to do the Salem tour at Halloween time but ms had hit really hard at that stage.

Today I think we're just going to relax and do some reading for class - I think I may actually accompany dh to the supermarket (also for the first time in 5 weeks!). It's Thanksgiving this week so it's a short week for us :)
