I can't believe people are actually saying things like that to you - I would ignore them, you and your dh obviously put some thought into ttc and decided on what was best for your family, it really is none of their business. I would also like to have a few kids so I see nothing wrong in going for no 3!

I found that on wikipedia. I know that is can vary so greatly. But according to that you are pretty much spot on... How did the gyn say the bean looks otherwise? No sign of another?

I would not stress too much. As long as baby looked good and healthy. I have only heard of issues when the hormone is too low...

@Firefly I agree with your argument. I want to but all the awesome things they have on offer over there and you do really need to know the sex for a lot of items.

@2.5km How can people say that? You already have two kids so you aren't going into this blind. Surely if they knowhow long you have been trying they should be happy for you! Were you getting this feedback today? I would tell them where to stick it.
