Welcome 2.5kidmamma!!!!! Congrats on the BFP!! Hope it is an easy 8 months.

Today I still have my extra energy, but no motivation to do what I need to do! So going to go do some shopping and will hopefully manage to do the studying when I get back, blegh!

Hi ladies

Can I join your lovely thread? After about 18 months of trying for our 3rd baby we finally received the gorgeous news that we can expect our new bundle around the middle of June 2012.

For those that don't know me, I am Celeste, mother of two a 5 year old girl and a 2 year old boy and now another one on the way. I am still very early days, probably only 5 weeks or so. Havn't scheduled my appointment yet but want to go for bloods today to see what my hormone level is.

I will catch up on all your stories in a bit but I am first going to update my ticker :woohoo: :woohoo:

Pity about your ms Stacey. It's good to hear you had such a positive birth experience. I get my moments when I think about birth and panic a little.

Bronz, from what I've read it seems that VBACS have become more and more do-able so hopefully you'll get what you want.

Oh, before I forget, I am 26, this is my first pregnancy. I'm from JHB but am living in Boston at the moment.

Stacey you can, its called a VBAC (vaginal birth after C-section). I say now that I want natural but if I cant I will be happy with a healthy baby. I was initially upset that I couldn't have a natural, but I see the reasons now and mostly it was my impatience.

Oh I should say my bit too. ;)
I am 25, Graeme my boy is 17 months and I live in Cape Town city bowl for now.

So tired after running around the house playing with G, no idea how I will cope with 2! And we want 4 all together, but will reassess after 2. hehe

Hi Mommies,

How are you all doing? still really struggling with the MS - finding it Diff to deal with  REALLY hoping it goes SOOOON!!!

Firefly - My doc also said it wasnt neccessary to go for bloods if hpt is positive and AF hasnt arrived. I ended up going anyway, just for me....

Wow michelle, ur bean is so big already :)

Mybrat - what is ur new due date?

I am 28 (29 next month) and have a LB who is 17 months old.
I had a natural birth (was Induced) with epidural. It was such an amazing experience and just went SO SO well! Was induced round 6 in the morn( I had started contractions the previous night), started pushing round 12pm and LO was born 12:20 pm. Im hoping the same will happen this time round!

Bronz - can one have a natural after having a C-sec?

Have a good evening all!
xxx

Hi everyone :)

Wow MyBrat, are you excited to find out that you're actually a whole month further along than you thought? What does that put your due date at?

Sweett86, my prenatal includes DHA (omega) too. I've read that omega is important for brain development. You should check if your multivit includes omega and if not you can find a separate omega supplement.

Stacey & Michelle - sorry to hear about your ms. Ginger is supposed to help apparently? Michelle, how far along were you when you got your scan?

Bronz, I am starving most of the time so I am snacking a lot. I tend to have a piece of fruit (apples/oranges/banana/grapes/berries/pineapple) with a small handful of almonds/nuts. Otherwise half a slice of toast with a bit of low fat cream cheese/natural peanut butter/hummus+pesto/cheese/avocado or some plain yogurt with a bit of fruit or carrots with plain greek yogurt as a dip (I try to combine some protein with some healthy sugar/whole grain).

Have all you ladies been for blood tests? I assumed they would do some blood tests to confirm but when I called the ob/gyn's office she just booked me for an appointment at 8 weeks. When I asked her about bloods vs the hpt, she told me the hpt is 99.9% accurate. So apparently they don't do bloods before?

It's my first time and I'm pretty keen on trying hypnobirthing. I just need to find a place that offers it around here.
