Morning everyone
Mosaneo, I saw all the email notifications on my phone and thought that conversation was really going so early in the morning! Don't worry about sending duplicates, we all do that sometimes

You look so cute though! Like you, I haven't packed anything yet either, and have absolutely nothing. I only did one shopping trip so far, and that was only for the basic crawlers etc. I'm waiting till I'm in Cape Town, before I buy anything more. I also wanna see what I'll get from family and friends also. The last time I was in Cape Town, so many people promised me things, so I think I'll do my rounds and collect
Marijke, so envious of all the energy you have! I know you say you tired, but aren't we all? Just amazed that you still have the self determination to do all those things. I'm too lazy to wash the baby clothes, I've already roped in my younger sister to do it for me, but with financial remuneration of cos. You don't know how lucky you are to have avoided heart burn...its the worst! I get it so bad, that I'm forced to throw up.
Magz, my dh is the same. He hates hospitals and blood and anything else to do with the body. When I went for blood tests, he stayed in the waiting room. When I came out, he said he could smell the blood, felt faint and couldn't drive home!! Can you believe it? He didn't even see anything, the blood was taken in a completely different room

He WILL be in the delivery room though, that's if the baby behaves and comes after the 2nd December (dh's flight to cpt is booked for that day). If the baby comes earlier though, I don't want anyone in the room with me. I prefer to be alone, and there's no one in my family or friends that I want to ask. Dh says I'll change my mind closer to the time, but I don't think so.
Punchysmum, I don't have that many close friends either, I've drifted away from those I was close with at varsity cos I live so far away now. I'm still very tight with all my cousins (I have loads of them), and they will probably give me a baby shower. They gave me the best bridal shower ever, so I have high hopes

I don't think I would pay R1000 a night for my dh to stay in the room with me, I think that option is R650 at my hospital. Even that is too much.
Had a good chuckle at some ladies' complaints about their husbands! I can assure you, my dh picked up NO weight, he is still as thin as ever. Neither one of us has been preparing much for the baby, so I can't accuse him of being lazy. I did ask him if my personality has become more hectic, cos he didn't say anything before, and he said no.
AFM, we moving just before I leave for cpt, so for one night we'll have to stay at a hotel in the area. My dh is moving to the rent free single quarters that he's work provides, and we'll be storing all our things at a friend's house. The rent of our flat is just too much for one person, plus I'll have to give my parents something when I stay by them. I don't like this very much, but I understand the need for it. Not looking forward to packing up!
