Marijke you are lucky not to be experiencing the heartburn n all, cleaning like that at 36 weeks, man you are tough, i am only 31 weeks and so very lazy. i do want to clean my house, i just dnt have the hands for it, like Pale i need someone that can jus cum do some cleaning, pay and go.

Punchy'smum the contractions are normal, they are called braxton's hicks.

I also have not packed my bags yet, i will do it sometime in November, still have to buy most things. i do have frnds, not alot, i also hardly see them but i do attend their kids parties, i make sure i buy a nice gift coz i have a kid that i also throw parties for, i attend babysowers and buy gifts that i would also love but no one has one planned for me

Maybe the prblm is that i dnt hav a best frnd, its frnds i met through my husband's frnds, grew up with, went to school with, lived with at school and worked with. keeping contact for the above mentioned events but not that close.

Shame Pale the vomiting must be a nightmare, i def knw how it feels, when will this naughty baby give you a break. At least you are at home coz vomiting makes you weak and lazy so its a good thing you dnt have to wake up and go work.

Marjike your lucky. Wish I were to be a SAHM. At times it's not easy to be working and having a family.
I'm so tired want to sleep but haven't had dinner yet.
Baby kicking and tossing but worries me is the contraction I constantly have nowadays. Is this normal?

I washed the baby bedding and the clothes so I don't have too much left over to do and I think I can safely pack the baby bag at least, my hospital nighties are in the wash now so then I think I can get everything packed, oh and I at least made the bed (cot) today.

I'm trying to get the upstairs clean, been meaning to do the washing floors on all fours for the whole year now, spent yesterday washing the tiles in the other bathroom because it hasn't been washed since we built the house nearly 6 years ago. I asked hubby to do it - so as you can imagine I was less than thrilled yesterday to be doing it, my poor back!

No maternity leave for me as I'm a stay at home mom, doesn't mean that I get anything done quicker though. Our little girl goes to creche from 8 - 12 then I have her for the rest of the day and she doesn't do well with playing on her own while I clean up or whatever and she doesn't take naps either so I have 4 hours in the mornings which would be fine if little madam didn't sleep so badly the last couple of weeks! When it's time to get up and everyone leaves the house I'm ready to go to sleep again. I don't have heartburn or too much pressure on my bladder at the moment, just a difficult sleeper!

Pale you can say that again. long story short. i am the only one at home. mum never married nor has a bf. so as a family we only 3. me, my daughter and mum. so hubby now plays the role of fatherhood in the house.
she is retiring next year Jan just waiting punchy. ( need to get him a name but i am struggling so hard)
i am quite a spoilt brat kind of. and the only ppl i call friends are people i worked with well or neighbours i had. for instant at work my friend is the cleaner. Reason being we come a long way back from 2007 when she welcomed me to the company with open warm arms. Then i have a best friend whom works for the same company but based in PTA for i stayed with her at bloem when we both worked there. These are the only two people in my life whom when in trouble and hardship i can count on. The rest of them at work are SNAKES especially the new one whom i work with.
So in short i only have my daughter, mum, hubby and two of my colleagues to count as friends . it annoys me at times but gives me my freedom and space.
The snake i work with says i hate people that is why i don’t have friends. Really???
i am also glad they didnt prepare the bbyshower for i love my space and hate people who come to your house to judge what you have and not for those are exactly the people i work with her

i believe you that R1000 is too much but now what are we going to do?? for i need him to be there when bby has arrived and bond with him and me..Gosh let me do more research in finding out if there isnt a cheaper room he can stay in

Mosa the issue is swallowing the mayogel or gaviscon i puke everytime i try and drink it( so frustrating). i literally spend most of my days and nights in the loo my blader is really feeling the pinch as well Mosa.

Punchysmum you lucky fish so ma is doing all the hard work. i dont have that many friends either dol i actually literally have 5 friends( i worked with all of 5) . i didnt think i would be showered with so much. i have a friend at work who planned my shower and my collegaues really surprised me. at home my family planned my shower 1 friend came and the rest was family. my hubby says im anti social lol.

shoo Punchysmum R 1000 is way too much. im paying R330 for a private room thinking of cancelling though but their double room are so small spent the nyt there once. hubby is also reluctant they are charging abut R400 or so. the hospital is literaly less than 5 minutes so he really doesnt have to.

i have no idea if those are still available i think i once saw a bath lyk that at edgars a while ago.
