Morning all!!!!!!

Wow, this Joburg weather is taking a toll on me. It is way too hot!!!

Mandri, glad to hear Luhan is doing great! Can't believe how time is flying
I'm also glad I finished everything & now I can relax for when he arrives.

How are all the new mommies doing with their babas? I take it busy busy busy

AFM, went to gynae late yesterday afternoon. Sister monitored Jayden's heartbeat & also the 'contractions' for about 15 mins. Gynae then did an internal check to feel if I was dilating or not but all was good & he was happy. He explained that I still have infection but also not sure exactly where it is, it can be vaginal, bladder etc. & the infection is causing these labour type pains & can also cause me to go into early labour. So, this afternoon I'm off to the chemist AGAIN for all sorts of medication...I don't even wanna know what I've spend on JUST medication since July.....& I'm got a splitting headache since 3 o'clock this morning but I've got so much work to sort out, I can't afford to stay @ home. He wanted to book me off but I told him I need to work till friday.
We also went to watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 last night with our friends. I really enjoyed it

Congrats to the new little ones Magz and klk!!!! So awesome that we get to share it with you!

Regarding the baby things for hospital, I got a book telling me what to take with - 5 x baby grows, 5 x receiving blankets, 1 x warm blanket, 5 x vests. Can't remember the other stuff now.

momtoc - I'm glad you got everything sorted now, just in case Jayden decides to make a surprise visit!

AFM - had a check up on Friday, Luhan is already weighing 2.8kg and doing very well. Only 13 sleeps till we get to meet our little man!

mosaneo, I phoned the sister this morning as I'm not feeling too comfortable with these pains. She advised me rather to come in today. My check up was only going to be on wed.

babyzee, I'm telling you. If you look @ all our mommies, most of them came very early. It was on Marijke & Magz that were late!!!!!!
It's the first time that I've heard that a hospital dresses baby in their own clothes........interesting.
I know my hospital escorts you out too just to make sure baby is in a carseat & that mommy is okay.

I just can't remember that I took blankets or even receiving blankets with but I'm going to take one blankie with & 2 receiving blankets.
As for clothes, I just packed 3 short sleeve & 1 long sleeve vest & then 3 baby grows, 1 romper & then 3 pair cotton socks & then just the normal toiletries for him.

Punchymum don't stress, punchy is just regulating his temperature and adjusting to his new environment i am sure he will be fine but if you are too worried you can quickly phone the paed or pop in the hospital for a check. So sorry about the nanny just when you need her the most grrrr at least your mum is around to assist.

Momtoc my hospital just requested clothes for baby when i leave the hospital so i am only packing two vests, grows, socks, hats, receiving blankets. They dress babies in their own clothes while in hospital. Not sure why maybe its for security purposes so if they see anyone leaving with a baby in their clothes they can catch them. They are pretty strict even the day you leave with your baby they have to escort the baby to the car and make sure you have a car seat.

Mosa you are all packed up and ready so are you momtoc. I washed all the baby's clothes this weekend my LG kept asking when i was bringing the baby home lol. Tonight i start packing my bags, i see these babies come anytime so we have to be ready.

sorry bout the braxton hicks, they can be quiet irritatiing, i also had alot this weekend, even started timing them thinking that they are labour pains

for my baby's hosp bag i packed two crawls, three sets of tops and pans and 5 vests. two blankets, 3 receiving blankets, pampers, cosmetics and wipes. its fully loaded.

1stly, Those of you that can still remember klk, as she seemed to disappear off the thread , well, her waters broke last night @ 36weeks. She had a baby girl via c-sec. Weighing 2.7kg. Hopefully she will come update us all.

mosaneo, firstly, don't get induced girl. You can handle this pregnancy! Your body was made for this Let nature take its course. I totally understand how uncomfortable it's getting but just breathe & take it easy.
I'm extremely happy that this is my last week - I just can't anymore! I'm full of aches & pain & extremely tired now.

Punchysmum, stop stressing. Pholoso is fine

babyzee, I here you with the washing. Hey, it's so uncomfortable leaning over the bath to wash everything with your hands. I have to constantly reposition myself.

What type of clothes did you mommies pack for baby's hospital bag?

AFM - we went for a braai @ friends on sat. It was very nice & all the guys played darts till late @ night. I just woke up with terrible pain in my pelvis & was uncomfortable the whole weekend. I honestly felt like Jayden was going to arrive but I think it's just very bad braxton hicks I'm experiencing & my tummy also gets hard at times & I'm cramping up....
I sorted out his cupboard yesterday & packed all the clothes & toiletries away. I also made sure that both hospital bags are sorted out! Now I just need to sort out my lg's room a bit & also want to organise paperwork that's just lying around & get some order but I'll do that next week when I'm at home.

hope yall had a good weekend. i was just so tired and lazing around all weekend, did nothing.

Babyzee i pray I can wait for baby to come naturally cause like you my ribs and back are killing me. i have developed horrible stretch marks on my but, hips and waistline.

Punchysmum hope that punchy is fine, baby wont have the same temperature as us dnt stress too much. please do update us on how he is doing.

Momtoc you must be so happy this is your last week, 4 more days to go...
