Tjoooo clueless,
I have sleepless night each day. Pholoso is awake from 1 am sleeps a little then awake again till 4 am. i dont really seem to be sleeping at all. during the day he is sleeping. i thought its only me having sleepless nights.
I have also notice that he is forever complaining about his tummy, I think he has cramps because when I give gripe water he seems to be ok.

How long will these sleepless nights take???

Good morning girls

Sorry for being MIA these last few days but I'm just trying to relax @ home!

Clueless, it is so so nice to hear from you. Thank you for the list. I will go through it & see if I've got everything. I'm definitely gonna let hubby bring me the jungle juice everyday :-) I will put the recipe on the fridge for him
Little Isla sounds exactly like how my lg was. My lg struggled alot with wind & spasms & that caused her to being in my arms way way way too much & that also became the only way for her to fall asleep. She was okay for the 1st month & slept on her own but that soon changed.
By the sound of it, it does sound like Isla has a bit of colic :( You can find colief @ dischem in the baby aisle & see how it works or you can try iberogast - it's a herbal liquid OR :-) you can try 10ml cooled boiled water, 6 drops telament & 1/4 teaspoon gripe water. I hope you find some relief & maybe also avoid eating foods that causes gas yourself as whatever you eat, affects your baby as well.
If you have bbm or whatsapp or both - pls inbox me your cell no & bbm pin so that I can add you.

babyzee, my leave started this past monday already :-) The itching of the skin is normal. Just keep well moisturised & as for the bumps, I've got very tiny bumps on the back of my arms
Do update us regarding your c-sec. Sjoe, that is going to be hectic to work right until the birth.....
Glad to hear that your bags are finally packed

mosaneo, the baby's weight sounds good & luckily not too big. Friday is almost here & then you can relax.
I'm glad you took my advice on not being induced. Let nature just take it's course my friend..........

AFM, I'm 38 weeks today. I will post a pic of the bump tonight or tomorrow morning.
I had my check up on monday. My c-sec is still scheduled for the 4th of Dec, just after 8.
I had blood my urine - but not what you can see with the naked eye. Doc said it's completely normal cause baby is already so deeply engaged! Jayden is also causing alot of uncomfortable pains down there & some nights it feels like I'm having contractions but it doesn't get regular or increase in intensity! I actually just wish he would just decide to come this week now ha ha ha

Momtoc, here is the list I took. It really was all necessary, except for the breast pads. I think the sports bottle (I took a sippy cup I got at the baby shower  ) and Jungle Juice were the most important stuff. I had hubby bring me a fresh 2l batch of Jungle Juice every morning.

I see my previous post got halfway erased :( I was saying Little Isla does not want to be put down during the day. She goes to sleep in my arms (not easily, usually only breastfeeding will get her to sleep), but when I put her down she wakes up and starts crying :( Evenings are REALLY bad, seems to be colic, but she is fine at night. She goes to sleep about 22h00 after last feeding, I put her in cot and she usually only wakes up at 3h00, and then sleeps through till about 5h30. So I'm very grateful, but the evenings are really difficult. Any advice will be sorely appreciated!

Anyway, here is the list:

Pajamas (2 sets)
Maternity bra's (x2)
Clothes for baby (8 sets)
Receiving blankets (x2)
Toiletries for me
Dark colored wash cloths (x2)
Baby shampoo
Baby Aqueous cream
Baby oil
Baby bum cream
Cotton wool
Surgical Spirits
Natura rescue drops
Jungle juice
Nipple cream
Baby wet wipes
Diapers (1 pack)
Maternity pads
Smaller normal sanitary pads
Breast pads
Disposable panties (Carriwell)
Linen Savers
Sports (squirty) bottle for drinking water after c-sec
Breastfeeding pillow
Support belt (buy at Dischem or Woolies)
HAnd sanitiser

Hi Ladies!!!

Sorry I've been so scarce! Little Isla keeps me quite busy. She has colic in the evenings, from about 6 to 10, and sometimes it gets quite bad. During the days she is fine, but she seems to And the only way to calm her down is breastfeeding her. Sometimes she doesnt even really drink, she just suckles for the comfort. But it must be me, no dummy will do! Strangely, she is mostly fine at night, and sleeps nicely in her camp cot after the last feeding. Any advice, 2nd time mommies?

Congrats to all the ladies who have had there babies! The pictures are gorgeous!

Momtoc, I will post the list that I took to hospital. I dont think any of it was a waste, we used everything. For the c-sec, I definitely recommend the sippy-cup, cause you cant sit upright to drink out of a normal glass, and you get SOOO thirsty after the operation. That was the most valuable advice I got for things to take with, I think...

Gotto go again :( chat soon!

Hi Mommies,

Sho! the chat is so quiet. I hope all mommies and baba's are doing great.

Ms_S How nice that hubby surprised you i can just picture it. Glad you had a great shower at least now you know exactly what you need.

Mosa happy belated to your son. 3.1 - 3.5 is a good size baby. I have heard induction is no joke and it can get very sore. If you get into contractions yourself its bearable at first and the intensity increases at least this way you can manage it, otherwise induction is full on. I suggest hang in there for now. I have saved your no on Whatapp i have a S2 no bbm for now. I will send everyone my number, how did you do it by the way.

Momtoc i am also walking around like a zombie i also get very uncomfortable at night and dont get enough sleep. You must be excited about your upcoming leave just a couple of days left.

As for me i have suddenly gotten very itching especially on my bum its crazy i cannot stop scratching, i also got some bumps that look like insect bites on my arms and legs. I googled it and found it happens late in pregnancy.

I am also so uncomfortable i cannot take it anymore. I have decided tomorrow at my appointment to tell doc to move my csec to next week Wed i will be 39wks. I am still working but the department of labour says i cannot take my leave from January since baby will be born in Dec. So i will only work Mon and Tue next week and Wed have baby.

I am going through serious nesting i have cleaned everything and finally my bag is packed hubby just laughs at me.
